[ch0000n] :) (I hate these topic titles) Takkra - Armata ((just click!))

alright, I need a lot of opinions on this, im really happy how the results turned out.. finally, after two years a song that sounds DECENT. BUT now I fear most of the tranceaddicts will tear it down as being - cheezy -.. so I am making a simple POLL for this, dont need to comment or anything, just your honest opinion would do, all you gotta do is click! So, is this song cheezy.. or not?

feel free to leave a comment though, always nice to read them, and ALWAYS returned !

A really good feeling melody, makes me happy (no, not cheesy)! And together with that driving bass you just have to dance Awesome Takkra!

sounds good, pads are cool.. i remember i made a remix of this.. not gonna post it though coz it sounds shit.. its crazy how somebody can improve with their style of music and production skills so fast..

good job, only thing is try to work on your bass levels.. your track has to much treble, need to keep it in balance.

Rinster.

Thumbs up

I like it. Needs quite a bit of EQing though. Nice job!

Sounding pretty nice mate, yeah some more lows could work well. I voted yes for the cheese - the melody isn't cheesy but the lead really is It's a really nice melody tho, i like it a lot, and the bass is cool.

thanks you all .. I thought it was a huge improvement boosting the highs a little on this track, maybe I ought to boost the bass as well. Thanks for the pointers, its nice to see the opininions!
thnx btw rinster, you improved a lot in a short time as well!

i vote cheezy not because the premise of the composition is legit and love the (lfo mod? cuz it doesnt sound like SC comp.. love it) ducking on the lead. just make that lead sound not from 90s anthem trance and make it like something more unique than the overused supersaw. at this point in trance you really cant get away with using sounds that common anymore. otherwise i think the track could be slammin. bass is fine but IMO i would "electro" the bass a tad to help "modernize" the track.

and whoever said the eqing/comp needed a boost.. ditto.

Nice track, good melody and effects. As said before, some more lows would help to improve the track.

Good job on this tune. Cheese, however, is generally an overall effect of the instrumental. Since I didn't feel like I was listening to Ian Van Dahl, or happy hardcore, or tweaty pizzaro stabs... I voted not cheese. However, I would vote cheese on the overall timbres used for the leads and pads. There's a fine line... and I no longer know where it is.

I'm with Sunclyder, a breakbeat would have improved what little I heard of the breakdown. The melody takes a stab at different directions, but is enforced better by the backing string-synth.

I might have added more "oomph" to the bass... and had it duck with the kick. That's just me, though.
