it was okay... missed spooky, but sasha was aight. nice pryda (muranyi) track at the end.

You guys post quick...

Had a great time at the pre-party! Next year I'll be able to get into the main event... I hope someone took pics?

I am curious to hear the reviews......I think one of the best sets I've ever heard was Sasha in 2004 @ Eleven50........He had just released Involver and the music and crowd were both absolutely amazing.....

After listening to 5 different live sasha sets from the past couple months.......and then learning that sasha has prolonged his release of Involver 2 for at least another 9 months due to his wife getting pregnant......I decided to save my energy for carl cox.....Ibiza knocked the wind out of me....and I just didn't have it in me to party until wednesday......which is what would have happened if I went tonight

But......I would really like to know from someone who was as that party in 2004 if it even compared to his set tonight??????

We missed the last hour of Sasha's set (where it supposedly got "amazing"), but everything to that point was an utter bore (Sasha & Spooky), so we took off to get an early start on the afterparty.

Regardless, the true value of the evening was in getting to meet a bunch of new TA's and hang out with some old friends we hadn't seen in quite some time, and man did I ever have a blast.

Again though (and it's probably sounding redundant at this point, but give me a break - there's really no way my thoughts or grammar should be expressed this clearly right now ), next time we need more than a day.

phreaking w0rd.

As far as the party goes, I had by far the best time I've ever had clubbing! Sasha was wank in comparison to Digweed last month, but the peepz from out of town, WetBar, and a few too many drinks made it much much much more enjoyable! Thanks LeeAnn and Scott for the unexpected VIP treatment!

It was FANTASTIC to meet you all!

by the way, weren't we sup. to get a beatport code to download some more tracks after attending??? i asked some people at wetbar and they had no idea what i was talking about...

Posted by iammesol on Oct-27-2007 14:53:

Never heard that

Rob and Myra - thank you so much for coming down for this show! Im glad you guys had fun (and liked Wetbar - see, homosexuals know how to party!) Kidnap Bobby and Tony next time you guys decide to make the trip.

Yeah, his set got better through the second half, and the last track was quintessential Sasha. Even though the first half was weak the crowd loved him. Ben and I didnt care, we danced all night.

Did anyone notice the free food on the rooftop patio? Ben and I went upstairs and stuffed our faces for a while and had some good conversation with a couple guys about people getting shot.

Anyways, had A LOT of fun and Im glad I got to meet everyone. Looking forward to next time.

I really enjoyed it. I thought Sasha was good, not as good as when I saw him in Miami last year, but good. I was never bored throughout the set. Crowd was rockin, plenty of girls, good music, saw my bartender who is always cool and hookin it up, saw all my buddies, exc. I even convinced this girl that my sweater was made out of bear skin. It was funny.

The only DJ I remember was Ian James.

Which after party were you at? We ended up (briefly) at a friend's friend's friend's house party that was apparently a Sasha after party cause I knew some TA's there. I couldn't have fun, though, cause hip-hop loving friend wasn't having fun and boyfriend refused to hand over my keys And HE was the drunk one... wah.

Can anyone ID the track from the very beginning. It was maybe the 3rd, 4th, 5th song...... had kind of this basey break beat sound to it.

I got a card from the bouncer at the door last night.

On the back it says:

1. Go to Beatport.com
2. Log in or create Beatport account
3. Visit address below to download your free music:
www.beatport.com/freesasha

There's not any codes or anything on the card.

That's because you hung out at The Fountain Club all night, and were drunk as hell

I still <3 you Scott

It's a surprise that sasha sucked, as seen on ROb's review....

...i would have expected nothing better than an epic adventure.

oh well

regardless, there was a good turn out.
Maybe next time I'll actually turn out! zing~

good meeting everyone

AAAhhhh... back in the ville.
As others have said, yes I think Sasha was boring booooring the first hour, bur the last hour was fucking epic. I missed most of the middle hour (I could faintly hear it) cause I was in the back outdoor area hanging out/chatting/meeting random crazy people and having crazy conversations with strangers, which was one of the most fun parts of the night. He played killer tracks the last hour, everyone was going nuts. At 2:45 when they tried to kick us out, no one would leave until he played one more and wetbar actually let him do it (which according to tom, they never ever do).
Some tracks I remember (all from the last ~45 min):

Davis & May - Neotron
Kevlar The Mongoose
Pryda - Muranyi (encore)
(hah, thats all i got right now ; )

Wetbar itself is an awesome club. Very loud soundsystem (although the bass isn't very clean). Lots of space. VIP area is off to the side instead of taking up prime real estate. Cool stage they let ppl dance on. AMAZING outdoor patio area with fountains, and lights, and cool rolling people to have crazy conversations with.
All the gay people were on the second story, so if you didnt venture up there, you might never know its a gay club. (except for the fact that all of the bartenders are shirtless dudes, and if you wink at them they hook up you up on your drinks **cough** garth **cough** haha). I peeked in the upstairs patio for a second, which was hilarious and scary at the same time.... 100s of shitless dudes dressed up in slutty costumes for halloween (imagine tight leather police uniforms, pink singlets, drag queeens, etc.) It all added to the awesome trippiness of the night though. It was a very very cool patio, and apparently there was free food up there (?) Overall, probably overall the best club I've ever been to.

The best part of the whole night though, was meeting all of these TAs. It was the largest gathering of TAs I've ever been to (like... 10? ... flTAs suck). I had a blast with all you guys, Rob and Myra, I hope I see you guys sooner than another 2 and a half years. Tom, I hope I see you again sooner than another 6 months, garth, its been like..what...a yr and half, and josh, eh, I see you all the time Also, nice meeting you iammesol, Mr. Pink, Ang ' ela_ie, and others (I don't remember I was drunk)(prydz in atlanta/orlando/miami anyone?)

I took like half an hour of videos on garth's cam, so Ill sort through them and see which ones you can actually see/hear anything in (or which arent shaking so much they make you dizzy) and post some soon

Myrob: I don't remember anything after you know what-ing that you know what off the toaster (hah), how did I end up passed out on the couch wearing Tom's shirt??

PS: and big props to Tom for pulling off that preparty at midtown. oh, and to josh's dad for paying a $200 tab there for all of us

Epic!

This, is...TRANCEADDICT!

Posted by CleverName on Oct-28-2007 03:50:

I was hooking up with random chick all night so I don't entirely remember that much of the set...except every time there was an epic buildup she would try to make out with me and I'd push her away like STFU I gotta rock out gimme a sec

Wetbar is the shit and i gotta say I loved the gay vibe. I grew up in Miami so it doesn't bother me at all. Talked to a lot of gay guys and they intstantly accepted that I'm straight and we just had good conversations after that. One guy bought me and that chick drinks, said we were the best looking couple in the club I guess he just hadn't met rob and myra yet.

speaking of rob and myra - WHAT THE FUCK? BORING? I was rocking out all friggin night. I've seen sasha from LA to Mykonos and have heard some bad sets, but last night was not one of them. I was hoping/expecting for his essential mix from cream amnesia last august/september (I'm still pissed he didn't play ironman) but it was still badass. Ya'll are just a bunch of pussies go turn on some dj dan or something.

this is probably my last post for a while because myra's probably going to ban me now. later'

Greg - I really have to say, probably one of the best parts of the entire night for me occurred between the hours of 6 and 8 this morning.

I think this video will sum it up nicely:

Posted by RJT on Oct-28-2007 05:19:

Yeah Jeremy, it was definitely nice to meet you last night, and I really hope we get a chance to party again in the near future.

Conference is looking more and more appealing yet again... something I didn't think would happen again.
