What Trilogy basses are the most popular?

Could anybody share the info of what Trilogy basses are the most popular in trance music?

the armin preset is pretty popular

also the ferry corsten preset is not bad, but I would recommend the tiesto bass

My trilogy doesn't have any trance producers' presets. Does your?

dude there is no magic preset that makes a bass....its ure ear and what effects and stuff you put on it....in asking that question i take it u are new to the game..... and im going to give you some advice

i have been producing now for three years and im only beginning to sound professional.... i will give you some knowledge that if you follow you will be at my stage in a year

learn about compression... eq.... and effects and how they change a sound... a pro sound comes from knowing how to use these three elements...

and practise ...ask questions.... practise as long as you have the passion for it and stick at it you will make it....its that simply but it takes time....

p.s if u want a trance bass then trilogy is not the right choice novation.... vanguard... albino... they are trance synths

i am rocking the Van Doorn preset. My only beef is that the attack seems a little too quick and i wish he would of made an adjustment to some parameter to make the attack a little softer. OH well, maybe vengeance will do something.

I'm glad that I'm reading this thread so that if I ever get Trilogy, I'll avoid the basses that everyone else is using.

Agree with maximlee. Anyway instead of cracking jokes someone could've pointed him in the right direction!

I would recommend the saw presets as a starting point. I like Juno 60 & Juno 106 as well as SH101. Then you should play with the ADSR, filters and the envelopes to get the sound you want.

agreed...but compression, eq, and effects dont mean crap if you dont have a good signal to begin with. learn how to use a subractive style synth. there are literally millions out there. get one with at least two, preferably 3 oscilators. experiement with using two saw waves and detuning the second to create fatness. or using a single square wave to create a super duper bass. experiemnt with using saw and square waves together. try making a bass with one osc an octave higher than the lower. try making the lower octaved osc louder than the higher one. the higher one will cut through more so make the lower one a bit louder. then start to figure out how to use the filter, res, and envelopes. this is where you truly get a good bass sound going. learn how the envelope filter changes sounds with different filter settings. try all these things while your sequencer is playing a bassline with the synth your altering and loop the bassline. that way you can sit there and twiddle nobs will listening how they change the sound. thats the only way youll learn how to use a synth. once you can do those things youll have more freedom over the bass sound you want. using somebody elses bass sound takes away from part of the uniqueness of every track. if you listen to almost all dance tracks now, theyll all use the 909 kick or VERY similar. the basses howerver are almost all unique. once you can make good bass sounds with no effects then start using compression and effects. a pro sound does come from a knowledge of how to use those three elements, but without a good sound to start, they aren't much help.

same yes - but to get the presets these guys are talking about, buy the 'i want to be on dj mag pack' from spectrasonics.

i disagree

you are just spoon feeding information that won't help him learn. I would never answer a stupid question like that when it is obvious absolutely no effort was put into the question. SO likewise , i won't put any effort in my answers unless you count being super funny as an effort.

yeah i total agree now....people when i was starting were explain things in term that to them sound sooo simply but to a learner....sound complex.... the best way to learn is by doing and yes....... his question was really bad ....so bad that i did think some one was jsut having a laugh
