Deadmau5 @ Mavericks (Nov 3rd)

Guess I should go to Ottawa this weekend.

very limited number of tickets for the deadmau5 show at Sunrise on November 3rd are now available on-line.

Tickets will still be available at Norml Clothing and also at Mavericks during any Sunrise event leading up to Nov. 3rd

You can purchase through paypal by going to:

You'll get a paypal recepit from the purchase, and you'll need to print out that receipt and bring it with you to the door. Without the paypal receipt, there will be issues at the door, as that receipt will be your only proof of purchase.

Anybody from Ottawa going to see this?

I thought about it but I saw him few weeks ago (Guv). He was very good though but I'd rather see him at Club Heaven or better yet, Bal en Blanc

Maybe in a year or two if he keeps it up and produces less trance

I have never been to Mavericks, is it bad?

don't expect much.. it's a smallish venue, low ceilings - I think it used to be a pub or sports bar. Great place for mingling with like-minded edm fans/sketchies

That's why I didn't see you, one of the few TOTAs I'd say hi to. I was in the periphery and took in last half of his set, closer to the Koolhaus entrance. They put too many good djs (Manzone, Junkies) on at the same time

That's right Faxing Berlin is prog house....but it's probably dancing close to the line that crosses over to hard trance...

I like the track myself but i find everytime i have ever played it people are like...why are you playing trance?

Another track i like that's similar to this a "Across the ocean" , very nice track IMO but again people who don't know better confuse it for trance...

For many it seems any track with some melody during longer breakdowns is perceived as trance... I guess it's only house if it's "BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM....." for 80% of the track with the breakdowns including "TICK TICK TICK TICK...."

If you haven't seen him live, he's very good, excellent beats for both house and tranceheads and he's very lively behind the decks, a la Preach or Carl Cox.

James Talk - Remote. He did a very nice remix here, very simple track but great stuff, imo. Mau5 reads TA alot too, even he has said on here that he's confused about hype Berlin got.

Robbiej, what is the capacity of Mavericks? 250 or something?
