Dunno Bacardi B-Live

So, my friend got us free tickets for this Bacardi B-Live event for this Saturday. I think they also organized Virgin festival as well. Anyhoo, is anyone else going? Did anyone ever hear these Djs before, because I have no clue who they are...Here is the link with the event details, but it doesn't really say much: http://bacardiblive.ca/toronto.php

Btw, it doesn't say what's the name of venue, is it a club, anyone knows?

I went to last month's Bacardi B-Live event with Max Graham and Steve Porter in Montreal. The music was awesome, but it was a terrible turnout. Lacking vibe. They really missed the right audience in their marketing. The promoter should have been fired with a DJ lineup like that.

The lights came on and music stopped as soon as the clock hit Last Call at 3am. very disapointed.

Well, from the marketing point of view - it's done poorly, since it doesn't really say much, but I wish they would also provide more info abouit the DJs. Marco V and Steve Porter are big DJs though, but I have never heard of James Murphy, Diplo, or Nasty Nav...maybe, it's just me lol. I hope this event will turn out better though than the one in Montreal.

I'm going with a few friends. Free event, interesting talent, and the venue (Toronto School of Circus Arts) can be totally cool if it's dressed up properly.

Embrace always does a good job on their events too, so I imagine the night will be fun.

This is gonna be a fun jam...James Murphy, frontman for LCD Soundsystem is a musical genius and is known to drop some interesting dj sets.

And Diplo, what to say...his Essential Mix from September is one of my fav's from 2007, and he's one of the originators of the Baltimore Club Sound.

God, this sucked so much, we left early...Stayed for an hour in line, spent 40 mins inside and left to go to Footwork. Didn't get to hear Diplo, but whatever. You needed a ticket to get to the stage, wtf? And, also buy tickets to get drinks...Washrooms were mobile, and it took 20 mins before you can pee, and a bunch of drunken college students...bleh...Max Graham was amazing though
