I was about to say "yes, because your currency is worth more" but $32,000 USD is only $34,700 AUD now

Further to ship them, I suppose, and a smaller market to make up the costs on.

Plus they screw the money out of them on parts and warranty servicing

Haha, well that's a given really. Imported? Nice car! Hand over the $$$.

Mind you, if you (when you) make repairs on your GTO...

Edit: Actually, never mind. There are probably heaps of spare parts around, due to people driving them into large stationary objects, on weird angles, at high speeds

Posted by Lilith on Oct-31-2007 08:04:

Aww, let me at least get it complianced, then 'super extra complianced' and actually on the road before cursing me with breaking it.
There's probably less than 30 in the country which are 1997+ like mine though which is a worry...

The guy who owns the gym up the street from us has one, red too. Only one I've ever seen in Bris though. They are WELL rare around here.

So if you REALLY need some spare parts...

Posted by Lilith on Oct-31-2007 08:35:

...I'm already worried about that myself. Thinking one of the first things to do is get a switch on the fuel pump hidden somewhere, that and drop it about 2 inches

well you being hot is a given. doesnt matter what you drive.

lil: haha yeah totally true. but arent all cars? even hondas arent "cheap" really. they just dont require a lot of service up to 100k but when they do require service their parts are mid range anyways.
