Cheapest best CDJ setup help...
I'd imagine this question has been asked to death: if so, sorry for the inconvenience:
i'm looking to purchase some cd decks within the next 2-3 months: all i really know is pioneer (have used my friend's 200s a fair few times, with a numark dmx06)-- i can probably afford a setup around this level, but am just wondering if this is good?
I don't really know any non-pioneer equip: any suggestions, esp for a mixer? I'm on a really limited budget, so cheaper suggestions are better:
looking for 2 or 3 channels---
thanks heaps for the help (even if it's only a link to another thread or something)
Go with the CDJ 200s, they are great.
Reliable, easy to learn and the pitch is very accurate and is the same as on the 1000s.
As far as a mixer goes... Hrm...
I'd suggest you browse craigslist or ebay and look for local deals on a Xone:62 or something, quality mixer, great to learn the basics on.

What is your budget? Expect to pay atleast $700 for a pair of new CDJ-200's. If your budget is $1,000 I'd look into a nice Vestax mixer as your intro mixer. Good build and sound quality and will serve you well until you've outgrown it. If you have a little bit more. The DJM-400 is the perfect match for the 200's.
I didn't put my budget down because i'm dealing in AUS dollars, but it's about 1,400 Australian Dollar = 1,298.16 US Dollar--

EgosXII, where are you lookin.
have you seen http://www.djwarehouse.com.au thats where i found my friend got his 2 cdj 200s, a 4 channel vestax mixer with effects and headphones for AU$1600. They were having a sale at that time (which happens maybe twice a yr and the last one was bout 4 months ago I think)..
Go to their site and have a look, give them a call and haggle them (i got the 2 new cdjs for the ex-display model price), they have great customer service and we got free shipping.
If ya have more questions gimme a bell, always ready to help.

ok, sorry, once more need reccomendations (feel good about helping a n00b!! :P)
I'm wondering if it would be wise to order a new cdj200 from ebay, but it's in America... the price is literally half of what i would pay if i were to buy a new one here in aus ($350 aus from ebay, $700AU from the cheapest online store here)--
here's what i'm looking at
LINK
he says he gives a free converter to international customers...
any thoughts??
thanks heaps, once again

yeah. would def say buy local.. we explored the overseas option.. but your lookin at an extra 60-100ish bucks per item in shipping.. an then there is the warranty.. an id expect that the 250 is that you save will be of little solitude if your cdj's get totaled..
wait for the dj warehouse store to open. and on opening day go in and say
i have this much money and have been recommended these.. what can you do for me.. if they say more then you have.. dont immediately give up.. say umm. i dunno, i really want them. what is the best you can do.
or something along those lines.. haggle like theres no tomorrow
also ask if they have an opening day sale and take some cash in for a deposit if nothing else... cash talks, bullshit walks. (put ya money where your mouth is, basically)
