Cubase 4 automation resolution bug

Hey all - anyone using Cubase 4 should check out this thread and support it:

http://forum.cubase.net/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=83776

Steinberg will not offer any comment on this particular 'feature' of Cubase 4. I, and others, wont upgrade from SX3 due to this. Being that you're all (assumingly) electronic producers on here I guess this might affect you also! So, please lend your support and hopefully Steinberg might finally take notice. Thanks !

With the amount of attention things like contrast and background colour get, while the devs do something like this (when it was perfectly fine in SX3) and then completely ignore an issue like this for how long now (?!), it really makes you wonder if they actually use Cubase for music production or if they're just testing it as a wallpaper

Crazy

Got a response from Chris Beueurmann, Steinberg admin - looks like the problem has been noted.

However, the most replies the better supporting this bug

In my opinion there are far more important things to fix. Like stereo rewire, which has been completely broken since Cubase 4.0.

Yes, there seems to be many glaring issues with Cubase 4.

If I'm honest I don't really have much confidence in the product. SX3 works nicely for me - if it had drag-drop inserts and fx I wouldn't even consider upgrading.

Once a demo is out I might have to take a good look at Samplitude 10, it looks interesting to say the least...

Yea, I confirmed this bug. Very strange indeed.

Also MP3 import/export isn't functioning for some people, it is however system dependent.

For example: Mp3 import/export works fine on my PC, but isn't working on my mac.

Go figure. Stupid steinberg...

/me gos back to making benassi style side-chained bass

Yeah, a response.... from Chris.. who - from the way he speaks - doesn't even seem to have much weight/say in the development process.

And all of this, after how much jumping up and down by their customers? Jeezus, you'd think people were asking for new bloody features here or something, not things that WERE working fine in a previous version of their software

It's not a great system by a long shot. I'm looking at Samplitude 10 closely !

Regardless, a response from Chris on the boards is about the best you can hope for and from here there should hopefully be some sort of word on what's going to happen with it.
