I absolutely love this track. Definitely will be a classic for me in years to come. Such a presence. Warm, futuristic, ambient, spacey.

I hope it never gets overplayed like Rej. I imagine it won't because of the length. (which is another reason I love it)

brings to mind Jean Michel Jarre among others

I haven't had the opportunity to play it out yet, but the next chance I get I will do so and it will be a special moment for sure.

This track, like others on the "Shut Up And Dance" CD, which should be the title of this thread, was a collaboration with the Berlin Staatsballet and Berghain, for a performance that was done there.

EDIT - wait, they released it as a single?

Fuck me, it's going to get raped

Don't worry Adam, no one is going to play this unless they direly need a break for #2.

definitely worth a 12" copy..

Ame in proper form.

haha yeah it's the 8:20 club edit that will get it

i don't know maybe the triplet thing is too weird for the mainstream yet. we'll see

LOL, that's like 5th thread about this.

But I'll say it again: this is unreal.

Haven't heard the shorter version yet but it should have stayed on the CD imo.

why? Ostgut Ton is a 12" label.

Posted by InDeepSpace on Nov-05-2007 18:33:

Why is this called club mix???? This mix is still lounge. For listening OK, but nothing to dance too. Why not giving this an Adam Beyer treatment??? Melody is quite nice, but the rest is not my cup of tea. Unnecessary release. The O-ton before were all better, especially this killer mix of Mekong Delta by Adam.

Again, you have to remember this track, along with:

nsi. - Bridge And Tunnel People
Sleeparchive - Perspective
Luciano - Drunken Ballet
The 7th Plain - Symphony For The Surrealists

were originally released on ostgut ton, which is owned by those who own Berghain, after a staatsballet performance at that club for which the tracks were written.

they aren't meant to be your typical tech house/techno floorfillers. it's funny that you say it's not meant to dance to, because it was created for an actual dance, and the name of the original cd on which it was released is 'shut up and dance' lol

i'm sure they released how epic fiori is and released it as 12" to try to capitalize on it ala rej

the club mix isn't a club mix as in 'banger', but rather, 'i could play this version in a club and not the 17 minute original mix' Anyways I think we could all use a little more silence in clubs. A little more dynamic and emotional contrast.

Unnecessary? - agreed.
