Terra Ferma

I personally love their track entitled "Teeth of the Jungle". Ive seen them perform live back in 98 at Simons Club in Gainsville, Fl. They put on a very wicked show. Claudio is a musical genius.

i liked the adventures of... tune, it was really nice, some of the others on that album were good too, i heard the album "the adventures of" wasnt one of their best and not their typical style

My personal fav is Terra Ferma - Obelix (ft I Ching)

Terra Ferma is Claudio Guissani, better known as the one half of Union Jack. Claudio also works with Paul Brogden of POB fame, under the name of Granny.

The source for the above info is:

http://www.global-trance.co.uk/Terra_Ferma.html

It also contains their discography from Platipus, and a write-up on a number for their tracks.

No new tracks since 2000 ??

I regret to inform you guys that Terra Ferma no longer exists as an artist, he now performs with another artist under the name Exus. They produce some really weird stuff, they're experimenting and trying to create a new sound for the future I guess, but its not trancey at all, personally its too weird for me, but if you want to check some of it out go to http://www.axleofexus.com/exus/exustart.html.

As for most recent tracks by Terra Ferma, his most recent track was SPLAT! (released around Nov 2001) off the Platipus label, however, before he left Platipus he sold the rights to the song to Patrick Reid, so if you find an mp3 of it, chances are it will say that it's by Patrick Reid.

Its kinda sad to see him go, he was one of my favorite producers.

Posted by C-naptik on Apr-29-2002 20:58:

That makes me feel sad too...That's really too bad, he was indeed one of the best guys at Platipus, he worked for Union Jack and everything, all his stuff was awesome.

I think he was an underrated artist.
Well, nothing we can do about that...
I think the whole Platipus label is slowly dying anyhow...2000 was its last peak, a truly awesome year for Platipus I think, all those top-quality releases...

Thank you very much for all the info anyhow, I wonder how you got to know all of this, and thanks for the link too, i'll check it.

And I'll of course look for that SPLAT track, I hope it's a good one, an ultimate one !

Thanks again

the adventures of.... beautiful song!

Posted by Mbius on Apr-29-2002 21:55:

SPLAT! is a really good track, its not trancey, but more Hard tech- progressive, it gets really intense towards the end.
As for Platipus, they're not dead yet, their sub-label GEKKO is doing really well, they're releasing some good progressive tracks all the time. Also, "Melodica" - Leama was released off Platipus not too long ago and ppl are loving that track. The Art Of Trance, will be coming out with a new album soon, and I can't wait to hear it, "Love Washes Over" is the first track released off this supposed new album. Don't count them out yet, they still have a lot to offer

Posted by C-naptik on Apr-29-2002 22:01:

well you're right, Leama - Melodica and POB - Luna are two amazing recent tracks and I love them !

I still need to get that Patrick Reid vinyl, which features Goose and SPAT, I know it's very good

I think I have the impression they're dying because of their website..
Many people used to post there and now, nothing anymore, and nothing is updated, so that really looks dead over there !

Posted by Mbius on Apr-29-2002 22:10:

Well their website has always sucked in my opinion, its always been outdated for as long as I can remember, they really should do something about that, but as long as they keep releasing good tunes, then its all good, and I guess that's all that matters.

Posted by C-naptik on Apr-29-2002 22:19:

agreed
