Alcohol + Daylight savings time........?

So, i was tryin to find the official fallback time for tonite, and from the best i could find it is supposed to be @ 2a.m. So that raises the questions of clubs and alcohol, do we get an extra hour to drink or not?

Now, i called around to alcohol bureaus and finally got through to sacpd, who said that you can keep selling alcohol. but i dont really feel that confident with there answer. Anyone know anything like for sure?

Last I thought the change was at three am... but apparently I'm mistaken.

However... I did find this interesting tidbit online:
quote:

So, can they serve alcohol for that additional hour in October? The official answer is that the bars do not stop serving liquor at 2:00 a.m., but actually at 1:59 a.m. In practice, however, many establishments stay open an extra hour in the fall.

That may help answer your problem.

2am tonight/tomorrow morning lasts for 2 hours. Considering many places do last call at 1:30/1:45, I don't see how you will get an extra hour of drinking out of it.

Simple as that, amiwrong?

I've never been to a club that kept drinks going for an extra hour when time falls back.

It depends on the club, but anyway to extract another hour's worth of profit...

depends on the club...i've been to plenty that kept the bar open an extra hour.

last nite i was at Vanguard...they did not keep the bar open an hour extra and i think they closed at 4 before the time change/3 after....last year they did stay open the extra hour i believe.
