fuck
I'm glad we have such annoying security checks at the big festivals now...
that's fucking horrible.
i love australia
farrrrrkkkk thats fucked up. so scary
WHAT THE FUCK!?
There had to be like 10 - 15 shots there. Really quick.
That's completely fucked up.
Man that's fucked up...
you know what else is fucked.. who posts something like that on youtube? do you really need to watch a video with people getting shot in it
You don't actually see anyone being shot, more the aftermath of the shooting.
It's nothing that wouldn't be shown on the news about a war or something similar.
I don't necessarily think there is anything wrong with footage like that on the internet.
3 people dead in Carl Cox concert last night. (from the guy who took the video)
====================================================================
I was doing my last concert by requiest of one of the promoters last night. I was retairing because I was seek of so many idiots driving production companies, people without education. The owners of the productions companies start tu cut corners and hire people without experience.
Last nigh, 15 meter from me when Carl Cox started his show and 10 minutes into it some one started to shot every one. I sounded like firecrackers, so fast I didn't think was a gun. Everybody started to run like crazy.
I was in the main, doing my visuals and filming the show. I just grabbed the camera and started to film everything what was going on.
3 dead body's on the floor, a young guy, a woman and a man. The husband of the woman was shot as well in the leg. Several others people as well but they managed to run.
Mute, my VJ was infront of the shooter, his girlfriend saw the guy with the gun and gave a warning. Mute, saw the guy starting to shoot, stoped and keep shooting and then the shooter realized what he just did and ran.
The party was going so well.
I knew the sponsor, I knew the promoters. The sponsor was Marlboro and was a good guy. The promoters too but no one of security was checking for weapons or anything.
I may upload the video later on, I am not in the mood to even grab my video camera and take a look at the images.
Jesus Christ that was intense. What happened in the middle where everyone ran away from the dancefloor? Were there more shots?
1. fucked up situation
2. fucked up that people even consider putting vids of it online
3. fucked up that other people watch the videos and tell everyone else how fucked up it is and/or send to their friends
I've seen far worse on the internet, but something like that can always rattle you a little.
Even if you don't see the shooting, the aftermath is pretty horrific.

ughh.. i watched the vid about two hours ago and i still feel a little sick.
fuckin horrible..
there's a difference between being aware of a situation and being exposed to it via video. It's like the video of Saddam getting hung.
Yes, reading about the event in the paper or hearing it on the news has significance but some people are so fucked up they need to see it on video. Some even get kicks out of it (as well as sharing it with others).
The problem here was clearly in the organistion. No weapon check at entry - come on, any promoter or venue with half a brain would know by now what is necessary.

SHIT
So fucked up on so many levels. I hate it when there's even a fight at a club I'm at, can't imagine how fucking awful you'd feel after being in the middle of partying then having to see that happen.
Man imagine how Cox feels about something like that. Or worse...imagine if something like that happened while you were playing. How would you feel?
Something like that would never leave you..
I remember a few of my mates were at HK when there was two (or three) people shot out the front in a drive by (back in 2002 i think), that really shook them up something chronic.
i hope they catch the f*cker who did it
People should be aware of the dangers even without watching a stupid youtube video
Whether you are at dance party or walking down the street there is always a danger.
Very sad indeed
thats my point. how is watching a video going to alert people of dangers.. im pretty sure most people know that when a **** pulls out a gun you're supposed to take off

I feel for Cox, watching that video, I could see he was really getting into his mixing and giving it 110% and he didn't even realise what had happend on the floor until like 2 minutes later I think someone told him then he like quickly hid under lol.
I'm glad nothing like that has happened yet and we don't have that gun culture.
