Donating blood
Who does it?
I just did it for the first time in my life today... Feels good to do a good deed.
And get a free pizza.
I'm unable to do so due to the medications i take. I'd do so if needed though, it really doesn't bother me at all with needles.
I've been told I can do it as long as it's not during the alergy season.
i've donated a lot - and i enjoy doing it....i've even gotten the phone call a few weeks later saying that my blood helped save a life...that was a pretty sweet thing.
i've got A- blood, which if you have neg blood you can only receive neg blood...so i'm a bit on the highly requested list. not as high as O- , but still my blood type is in a bit of a demand.
kudos to you
ps, did you get the shirt or the glass?
Nope, all we get is a ticket for free pizza.
Btw, I've got 0+.

I donated once and almost passed out. Dr. drew blood for bloodwork last year and the same thing happend. I don't know if it's due to my lower blood pressure or my low resting heart rate but it's not a fun experience at all.
Wish I could donate.

I always donate whenever I can, but the last time must have been a group of amateurs. Here it is a week later, I have a huge black and blue on my arm (I've donated about 10x by now and I've NEVER had that), and everyone thinks I'm an amateur drug addict
I've done my good deeds, I think I'll not be donating for a while...
I've also donated a lot... the military is the nation's #1 source for blood... we scheduled our day around it.. actually 2 days around it... b/c no activity the rest of that day or the next...
even now in basic trainning we taught the young Soldiers how to stick IV's... so there will be a whole lot more people around now that will know how to give someone fluids...
I've done it, wasnt pretty but it got the job done... the worst is when somebody fucks up and has to stick you like 3 or 4 times...
Wish I could... well, technically I can. But, I'll just say it... I'm afraid of needles. I hate them. Dunno, just always been that way.
We have the "Bloodmobile" come to work every month. Wish I was less of a vagina about it, but oh well, what can ya do?
I do donate time feeding the homeless on occasion, but I haven't done that for a bit. Been meaning to do that again.
i would if i could. i am way too skinny and i get really lightheaded when they draw only the smallest amount required for blood work.
Moved from England to Ireland during the whole BSE scare thing so I cant. Also had jaundice after I was born for a week or two so that puts paid to that.

This December will be my 9th donation I think. I don't get anything for free though, because that's not really the point is it?
i've donated 3 or 4 times, whenevr i see a blood drive thing or whatever and have nothing to do later i try to...
