Sasha Chart on Beatport
All very talented producers in his chart, but not really DJ friendly. How does one play these out? They are just music that you would put on while waking up or doing routine chores around the house. Thoughts?
Some nice tracks in there, definitely some club-worthy ones. It's pretty much exactly what I was expecting to see when I saw that he had a chart on BP, which is why I generally avoid their DJ charts.
Also I'd reckon he had little to do with actually compiling that chart.
He also uses Ableton...that can make almost any track 'club friendly'
As for the chart itself, I only picked up one that I'd never heard before. That Swayzak track, pretty neat!
When did Sasha become an ambient DJ?
None of those tracks are ambient.
Beatport: Psssst, yo Sasha. Can we get a chart from you to have your fans gawk and examine it on our site?
Sasha: Bloody hell, mate. I used to play shit that people didn't have access to for a full year.
That Geiger remix is fun as hell to play

Internets!
Pretty boring chart, but I wouldn't want to share my best finds with everyone on beatport anyway...

I bought the "Smile & Receive" track...not the remix Sasha had up, but instead just the original..I like it more...but it's hard to mix into......i just kinda reloop the intro...
The "Lights In My Eyes" track was my other fav based on the sample, but it gets a bit repeative being 11 mins long.
Those were my favs...the rest were so-so...or depends on taste....
BTW, I also think he tried to do the chart to promote some producers instead of actually liking the track...for example.."Radio Slave"

How does using Ableton make a track club friendly? LOL
Using Ableton makes some tracks easier to mix, it doesn't make them better, the DJ does that through edits.
I'd like to see an Ableton mix by IndustryInsider, show us all how easy it is to use Ableton and to make bad tracks sound great without doing any work!
