Idiot spending online...

I was on my favorite record site (well the only one i go to) and i was shopping for records last month. Got my list, and when i went to checkout...the 1 record i REALLY wanted was sold out already.

months past and it's still sold out.

so i googled it and bought it from amsterdam. didn't waste time looking to see if there was any other american website. didn't compare prices, just check out > buy 1 record...thank you.

now that i think about it, i want to shoot myself for spending $40 on an $8.99 record.

Do that 10 or twelve more times and you've paid for a set of decks.

dumbest thing i ever bought online was 2 48" blacklights off of ebay...they were in a huge casing that held them side by side (i.e. something you see on a ceiling in a garage or workshed). so i put in a bid for it, thinking that it wasn't going to be high enough to keep the auction...turns out it was. so i got it about a week later, while i was still living in the dorms, and thought , "why the fuck did i get this?"

i then resold it on ebay and made $5 on it. lol

Lol, that's so nuts to think about now.

I think my first 8 bit soundcard cost me $200 or something.

There was no such thing as a 16 bit soundcard when I bought it. 8 bit Sound Blaster ftw.

But I was, I dunno, 13 or 14? It's not like it was my money at the time

Speaking of idiot spending online...

$70 for a Giclee print of Caravaggio's Judith And Holofernes?

Unframed.

Yes or no? My house needs something for the walls.

Speaking of idiot spending:

Tomorrow on the lot they're selling off original animated cells from various FOX shows. I'd imagine a ton of Simpsons and some Family Guy/American Dad stuff. I don't know how much it's going to cost but the prospect of owning a one of a kind animated cell is very intriguing. Should I put off paying my 2 parking tickets yet another week? I mean they're already overdue.
