Sodium and THF... some of the chemical engineers said they could feel the vibrations from the explosion.

Crazy shit. I hate working in the same building as crazy chemists.

I know, right? But it did. I dont know if there was anything else in the mix...

So you use sodium to dry that kind of stuff out, right? I think thats what they were doing. It happened under a hood but I think it was big enough that it didnt really matter. Im sure their lab is a complete mess.

Not to mention the sprinkler system went off on that side of the building so all of their shit is ruined.

Im glad I dont do that kind of science.

Yeah so here's my story:

I was on my way downstairs to proctor the dynamics exam for the undergraduates when I heard screaming on the other side of the floor. At first I was like, "why are they being so obnoxious in an ecademic building?" and then they pulled the fire alarm.

So I ran back to my wing and shouted for everyone to get out (since we tend to ignore fire drills). We waited for about 20 minutes and then I just told my students to go home. They were pleased.

Thats the kind of shit you wish for during an exam. A massive chemical spill that shuts down the building.

blech, I visited State and I wasn't impressed. I'm planning on UGA after a short stay at Gainesville now.

I walked around and went to their student center thingy and admissions office. I don't like the feel of the campus. I like visiting Atlanta, but being there for an extensive period of time is grating. Too busy for me I guess, and I sure as hell didn't like the whole having to commute with marta on a daily basis.

Theres your problem, and I completely understand now. I had a crash course in GSU life my first week, where I woke up at 7:30, school from 9-12, then worked from 12:30-9:30. I did that for a 2 weeks.

And since then, I've had the least sleep I've ever had EVAR.
