Okay, first of all, iPhone blows for just a couple reasons.

1. The technology isn't new so it isn't that revolutionary
2. There was just an article put out about the horrible security.

Second of all ... I would rather have a keyboard I can touch and use multiple devices which have greater security. Seriously, an all in one is lame right now unless it is secure. Identity theft is skyrocketing and the last thing I need is a phone that supports identity theft.

I don't need to check my email every 5 minutes, and anyone who does really needs to free up their schedule. I have a laptop, desktop PC, and a cell phone, and an iPod Shuffle for working out and that is more than enough. If you really need internet more mobile than a laptop then get the iPod touch. The iPhone is just too unsecured for me to even think about getting at this point. And if Apple is at all like Microsoft, then they won't have this phone secure for a decade to come.

I'm no Mac whore, I've never owned one. But, you strike me as the type who would love discussing WINDOWS VISTA and the ZUNE!

Linux is way more stable than either, more secure than either, and free. Can you ask for anything better?

Meh for the compatibility. There is nothing I can't do other than gaming, which with my laptop's integrated graphics (and my not caring) I can't do anyways.

chinese companies always produce cheap imitations from west world products...
their quality suck and of course they have no ispiration and creativity at all...
here in greece lots of cheap chinese products send people to hospital..

Once again, with the marketing giant that Apple is, people aren't going to care until the entire system suffers one big failure. Even then, people will still use it. Why? Well look at how you compared it to Windows. Windows still fucking owns the publics desktops. Why? Because once it got popular nobody stepped in with both an OS and a marketing department powerful enough to destroy it. The same situation applies here. Until a marketing genius can find someone with a better product, the iPhone will enjoy its stay in the pockets of most people.

apple isn't in the business of making revolutionary products. they are in the "wow" business. they build a product on old technology that looks more awesome than it is. they also, as jake said, have an amazing marketing department that makes sure its marketed in a way to highlight the "revolutionary" features that just haven't been put in products yet because the other companies can't afford a huge flop when compared to the way apple releases products and has fanboys.
