Good times for sure.
Showed up a bit late and got in about 30min before Aren's set. The dj playing before him was not bad, played some good tunage.

But man, Aaren's set was off the hook! I play with this dude almost on a weekly basis and I have never heard him spin like this - wow. It was the first time I've heard him play a pure trance set and he did a wicked job. I haven't had my hands in the air to trance in months - felt good Even my friends that usually don't like electronic music and clubbing in general ended up on the dance floor jamming to the massive tunes!

And so, I reiterate for effect: Good effin' times.
Looking forward to the next one.

EDIT: forgot to mention - pretty good crowd vibe. a lot of people there were genuinely into the music and were there to have a good time.

Was this an all trance night....no funky house beats?

Posted by SgtFoo on Nov-12-2007 01:09:

Phillip Oliver played some incredibly bangin deep house..

Dave Akermanis played a solid set of progressive house...

Vonni played a trance set right after

I played epic/tech trance last

i had such an amazing time. it was an extremely successful night for EMSAY. the music was great, the setting was beautiful and the people were just going nuts!
the blacklights were a great idea, everybody was glowing, all in all it looked so magical, for a second there i totally forgot that i was at the underground, which normally looks pretty dull.
there was also a poi performance, so if any one has videos plz post them!
djs, u were all........ amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing, everysingle one of you!we had new sounds this time, minimal and techno overall i loved the progression, it blended in perfectly with the mood and the crowd responded really well
the next one is actually in february, but there will be smaller events organized by emsay at a different pub on campus..which is going to be really great since it's a new and different venue.
cheers!

p.s will post my pix n vids tomorow

236 other venues in the city aren't enough for you to try and cover in one night?

Posted by NuERA on Nov-12-2007 19:15:

looks like you had a very successful night. congrats!

Posted by tinkerbelll on Nov-12-2007 21:40:
