Thumbs down Dubfire - Emissions [m_nus]

Samples are going to be at any and all download stores - but honestly, what the fuck is this nonsense? It's the same kick/high's for 8 minutes and people are buying it/playing it like it's fucking "Castles in the Sky."

Someone, anyone - please tell me why it is that Dubfire is so "hot" right now.

Also, anyone who owns/plays this - why? I legitimately want to know what it is about this thing that makes it worth having, because I'm obviously not intelligent enough to figure it out on my own.

Just another utter failure of a release from Dubfire and m_nus.

I gotta admit, it makes for a pretty dandy eight minute egg timer.

I'm no production ace by any means, but if someone were to say, I don't know, use the argument "You can't bitch unless you can do something better" argument here, I'm pretty confident I could not only make this exact track in less than a half hour - but also that I could add one element (like a cowbell or something every 4 beats) and it would instantly be infinitely better.

Christ on a bike does this one's popularity ever confuse me.

fuck off, my eggs are done.

I listened to the samples on your recommendation and agree, it is nothing special

I don't understand how anyone can waste money and time on something so ridiculously insipid. Absolute garbage.

Anyways, this has to be the lamest argument ever invented to begin with

What a piece of garbage.

But I guess it's something wrong with us, guys, people at trance.nu seem to like it

Roadkill, Ribcage, Emissions ... everything Dubfire produces sounds terrible

Posted by InDeepSpace on Nov-13-2007 17:36:

Not good enough 4 buying a 2x12" for 19.99s. Rest on the album is generic M_nus boredom.

That is such a dumbshit argument. Just because you don't produce tracks yourself doesn't mean you can't identify a complete worthless shit production

No kidding?

This track blows hard. Luckily, I'm not forced to buy it or play it (and hopefully not hear it) so thats pretty much the end of that.

Posted by jupiterone on Nov-13-2007 18:10:

I must be the only one that likes it

Actually, the running argument for tracks like these is something like this:

"It isn't meant to be a song; it's more like a DJ tool, to be used by DJs in their sets. You just have to hear it on a loud sound system to truly appreciate how awesome this track is!"

Indeed, one might even say that puts the "tool" in "DJ tool."

...

. . .

Yup, that was bad...

As Mikey would say "Taxi for Mr. Turner"

Lol, they were the hot shit in the middle of the nineties. Sadly later they went crap with commercial shit like 'Flashdance'.

I can't belive all the hate here?? its pretty boring and doesn't really go anywhere but jesus its not THAT bad.
