Angry ......

I smell McDonalds in my office.......WHYYY, oh whyyyyyy? Please, tell me GOD???????????? Why is dieting is such a bitch....Why do I need to skip on my favourite burgers and fries in order to stay fit...I know it's already paying off, but this is such a torture...

The lunch time is here, and I have no idea what to get now...

Posted by Endlesswave on Nov-13-2007 16:58:

You know you live for leaks and whole wheat bran biscuits for lunch. :P

As for good tasting food, just indulge every once in a while until you get to the weight you want. That way it'll make it when you do it your fav foods it'll taste that much better no?

Posted by NuERA on Nov-13-2007 16:59:

just think about how you would feel after you ate it

you don't have to completely give up your fav foods when dieting(unless you want fast results)..

Carb Cycling- look into it.

Are they any good? Haven't tried one yet but walk by it every now and again...

Posted by SasH21 on Nov-13-2007 17:28:

Oh thanks guys you are the best for supporting me. I went to Eaton Centre and got some Shawarma, so it's def better than MCShack. I know how horrible and unhealthy it is; that's why, I am trying to give it up completely, but it tastes sooooooo goood..hehehe

I am not really trying to lose lots of weight just change my eating habits and be healthy. Going to the gym has really helped and my new belly dancing class is paying off, too..lol

Friday is usually dancing night too, so hopefully I am on the right track.

Thanks god the smell of McDonalds is gone now..lol

No mall, but its right by Heartland so they have tons of stores, but like outlet stores and pretty much every single big box store you can think of (Best Buy, Future Shop, Canadian Tire, etc.)

They have a Holt Renfrew outlet haha.

Hmm...I googled it, reading now...;-)

Posted by SasH21 on Nov-13-2007 18:07:

The Taint:

Douglas Coupland wrote about the taint in his recent book, JPod. The taint is when, for example, someone in your office makes microwave popcornor brings in some stanky, nasty greasy fast food and the smell cloud spreads spreads across and throughout the office like one of those phantom-monsters from a Stephen King story it pervades your nostrils and buries deep into the cotton fibers of your clothes and of course, you find yourself feeling revolted Another example is when you eat fast food in your car (or take leftovers home from your grannys house) and for the next 2 days, the smell of cold french fries hangs in the car like a trans-fog. (footenote: some people actually will find themselves even craving it in a moment of weaknessa food-turn-on if you will). I wish the taint was banned. EVERYONE hates the smell of microwave popcorn except that ignoramus who nukes up a bag in the late afternoon.

So, upon reflection, perhaps we could harness the taintfor the sake of the fat kids children. It seems to me that visual tainting is most effective when it comes to food. That is, when the smell is neutralized (ie: you cant smell TV or print ads). The beautiful photos beckon you to come forth and nosh la Pavlovs dog. For, without the smell, a picture tells a thousand words and that story begins to enthrall usthen she enchants us with that glorious image. Behold.the Big Mac!!!

Odor-less taint is like radon or carbon monoxide - the silent killer fattener. So perhapsjust possibly, the wicked smell of someone elses taint could be enough to repel some of us from consuming these smelly processed foods. The chain of logic would then suggest we could put taint in the ventilation systems of our schools and thus, kids would be eager to run outside (thats exercise). Of course, maybe kids dont hate the taint the way we adults do. How do we help the kids?
Yep, thats my storyand Im stickin to it.
