Headphone Ear Tickle
I find myself having to take off my headphones to scratch an itch in my ear once in a while after long usage, and I'm using open-ear phones (if that matters). Is this from the phones pushing air into my ear canal sending microscopic crap into my ear?
I've been wondering this rong rong time!
That means that you're ears are trying to eat themselfs.
No, seriously thats really bad. Means you're playing WAY to loud. You could end up with tinniutus if you keep going.
maybe it's electrocuting your ear hole
Your headphones should not be loud enough to vibrate anything down your ear cannal (except maybe dust). I encourage you to turn it down.
I just started using open-phones three weeks ago. Never have my ears itched.
Maybe you are allergic to the material that the ear-cups are made out of.
Or... heat gets trapped with the headphones on, earwax melts and moves a bit, little sensative ear hairs get tickled by earwax. Or maybe a bit of ear sweat from the excess heat?
It's happened to me before. ![]()
i get itchy from my cans too. i used closed headphones though, and i usually keep the levels really low. an audiologist once told me that bacteria in your ear grows a lot faster when you have earphones on, but i dont think that has anything to do with it. i have no clue... maybe our ears are just different?
My ears get itchy from using ear-buds...you know from MP3 player..those little ones you stick in your ear...I keep the volume terribly low...and still...
I would presume that "desinfecting" your cans might help...although I have no clue, what you could use to do that without damaging cans or something...
I get this too. Earwax is likely the culprit in my opinion.
How Long is your hair?
Mine is past my ear, and this causes my inner ear to itch from hair getting in there thanks to headphone.

wash more often?
sometimes when i take my headphones off, i find chunks of ear wax sitting in the cans ... i guess they just sort of roll out of my ears and into the cans cuz my beats are so wikked.

i get a tickle in my left ear sometimes from playing in my open headphones, sometimes in my car, and sometimes from nothing. It's been tripping me out for like 4 ears now. i went to a doctor but they didnt say much. also , yes i clean my ears all the time. so it's not that
The only thing I can think of is you're playing your music way to loud. Just turn your music down.
I actually stopped using my headphones as my sole means for production. I usually use my speakers 90% of the time when making a track, then I use my headphones for the small stuff.
