doing a hiphop set for a business club at a university...
i'm a dance/electronica dj. my club members (UCR) want me to dj for their event.
I need a recent hiphop club playlist; something that consists of high energy dance type of hiphop. radio stations are fine.
equipment i'm using: vestex mixer, serato, and 2x1200 techs
why play a genre you obviously aren't into?

Method Man - We Some Dogs
Eminem & Nate Dogg - Shake That Ass

Dude, first off, this is tranceaddict.com and only a few people here are big hip hop heads. I don't listen to hip hop like that, but I already know how I'd go about this if I were you:
1) Find some hip hop message boards. Don't go there and act like you don't know/hate hip hop and cluelessly/begrudgingly need their help. Just pretend you're an older hip-hop DJ and you need to know what's popular to younger crowds in hip hop.
2) Find out the sites of any local radio hip hop stations and scan their song lists. Or use Yes.com http://www.yes.com/#WQHT?chart HOT 97 is a big hip hop radio station here in New York, and Yes.com will give you a great list of really recent hip hop songs.
3) Mtv.com / Bet.com
Come on man, you're not even trying
lil wayne.
Wait, wait
Method Man - Rodeo Feat. Ludacris
lolololol
Man, The Prequel is such a great album.
lol, stop taking shit gigs!
RBA - No Alternative
Massive Attack - I Against I
You might want to go with some of the more commercial tracks. Just check out the billboard top 100 hip hop chart, there's plenty of tracks to choose from.
If you're looking for one of the highly energetic hip hop tracks, I would suggest putting this club banger somewhere in beginning of your set.
This is one of favorite hip hop duos made. I would place this track somewhere around the end of your set.
Mai kiya Kidaaaanh mundeya?????? Try these songs:-
Ciara - Goodies ft. Petey Pablo
.....Freek A leek - Pete Pablo
Petey Pablo - Raise up
dmx ruff riders anthem
Welcome to atlanta remix- Jermaine Dupri ft. P diddy
Sisqo - The Thong Song
Jay-Z - Big Pimpin'
Sean Paul - Just Gimme The Light
Sean Paul Punky
GASOLINA - Daddy Yankee
Daddy Yankee - Rompe
Akon - I Wanna Love You
Wanksta - 50 Cent
This will keep them niggaz and bitchez busy for an hour or so....
