I just got a call about upgrading my cable modem - anyone know if there is any downside to going through with it? I remember that sometimes after everyone switched modems, people who stayed on the old servers with the old modems would have ridiculous speeds, so I'm curious if I should do this or not.

We in Canada pay the one of the highest rates for cell phone bills in the world becuase only four companies have monopolized the industry. When will that shit stain CRTC allow other frequencies to become available so that Ted Rogers can shake in his knees. I cant wait for that day.

isn't it three major telcos... rogers, telus & bell? the rest are either owned by them or run off their networks.
