Eiffel 65 - Cosa Restera

I just recently heard this song, and I instantly fell in love.

I actually heard this song as part of Talpy's Megamix 2003. The lyrics are really cool, but I cannot translate them. I've run this block of text through Babelfish a few times, but to little avail. Any help?

Acqua azzurra o alba chiara
Nel blu dipinto di blu
Cosa rester
Un centro di gravit
Acqua azzurra o alba chiara
E di una terra promessa
Cosa rester
Un centro di gravit... indifferente

lol @ eiffel65

In english:

Blue water or clear dawn
In the blue painted in blue (the sky)
What will there be left
A center of gravity
Blue water or clear dawn
And of a promised land
What will there be left
A center of gravity... indifferent

I can see the words are some sort of reference to a number of famous italian songs, like:

Domenico Modugno - Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu
Raf - Cosa Rester Degli Anni 80
Franco Battiato - Centro Di Gravit Permanente
Eros Ramazzotti - Terra Promessa

PS. I hope you're aware this isn't trance.

Obviously here you'll get burned for liking this but I actually like Eiffel 65's works after the EuroPop album. Cosa Restera was a huge hit in Italy back in 2002, its off thier self titled Italian 3rd cd which was translated in 2004 as thier 4th album. If your interested, in 2006 Eiffel 65 broke up, the dj left and the two remaining members (Jeffrey and Maury) made a new band called Bloom 06. The music is more mature and quite good imo.

I don't care what anybody thinks but thier 2nd album 'Contact' is a masterpiece. I think it gave birth to a genre I like to call Progressive Europop The track 'Morning Time' is truly a sick piece of work, musically and lyrically. Also 'Brightly Shines'...pure 80s sounding synthpop bliss. and 'Crazy' is another one. Practically every track on the album has hit potential and the lyrics are actually meaningful. I mean I'm not a eurodance fanboy but seriously, just check out those tracks and Im sure you'll be surprised to really enjoy them.

They could atleast have made a proper video. Pics of them posing like tools worsens the track's effect

I loved that when it came out haha, still listen to it once in a while there's nothing wrong with a bit of eurodance now and then, it's not supposed to be taken seriously really.

I think that was the same year I bought Corsten's Trance Nation 4 purely for sandstorm

The music vids off the Europop album were great with the aliens and crap.
