I've never heard any sets of theirs, only a heap of their productions.

Their binary frequency radio show is meant to be pretty good. But havnt heard of any sets.

Yeah I saw them in Launceston and it was a small affair, however I did get to have a personal chat with Jan de Vos, which was definitely a highlight. I guess you've just gotta be thankful that they even come to Tassie at all! Do you Taswegians ever travel to Melbourne for gigs and stuff, coz I'll be moving down there in a few weeks for work and are pretty keen to experience some of Melbourne's scene.

i wouldnt say most popular "DJ" in the world... but deffinately one of the more popular producers... 4 strings hit mainstream getting radio play on all types of radio stations world wide... i remember years ago hearing 4 strings get hammered on "the fox" and 101.1 and stations like that...

haha you're a sissy. theres been crowds way worse than that.

suprisingly 4 strings were actually pretty good. he played for 2 hours extra too, so a 4 hour set. he was lovin it up there

first hour was kinda sucky like you said, just played cheese but after that he was really good. when he started playing songs that i didnt know he got heaps better finished off with some classics as well

i was pleasantly surprised as i wasnt expecting much

he wasn't even mixing
generally, just got 2 songs in beat and switch in 0.001 of a ms (pretty much like the tracks he was playing, quite a few had a decent synth and then just it'd just switch to either a hard bass line or some ridiculous random crap that's not even music suddenly and totally ruin it) - on one track in particular, i'm guessing he either hated it as much as i did, or because it was too hard to come up with a slightly more conventional and random bassline he didnt attempt to beat match and just quickly mixed in at a low down part with no beat

all in all, pretty horrendous.
8.5 poops out of 10.

his mixing wasnt the best but thats abit of an exaggeration. im sure if you had heard the rest of his set and stopped the chinstroking you mighta liked it abit more
