I don't have a problem with the typically small banners replacing the TA logo, but this seems like a bit much to me...

I know that ads such as these help the site to survive, but where is the line that defines excess going to be drawn?

The 2nd banner should be underneath the other one -- with the google ads adjacent to the smaller banner. Since you're on such a widescreen resolution you somehow got to see both banners in the same row - hence why the google ads look out of place. I'll assume your resolution is 1600x1200 -- I'll set it so those above that won't see the google ad.

Btw, busier areas (like Toronto) have 3 banners.

Aah, yeah, I never visit TOTA. Guess I'm just used to one quiet banner up top.
