Are they repeating these shows?

Read Daniel Pinchbeck's 2012: The Return of Quetzalcoatl.

Combines a lot of the ideas that are out there; he's a pretty solid writer, and has another book under the name: Breaking Open the Head. They document his psychedelic awakening, followed by his submergence into world prophecy and experience - pretty amazing stuff. He isn't just a flake either; excellent research work. Former Rolling Stone writer, for whom all changed after a trip down the iboga hole in West Africa

Mayan calendar, I love it!!!

To learn more info about the ideology that's behind this, visit http://webexhibits.org/calendars/calendar-mayan.html, it will explain to you how their calendar worked.

I don't think that they meant Dec. 21st 2012 to mean as an end of time... or an end of the world, as many people with science fiction notions and fantastic prophesies like to imagine (mostly just to stun other people anyways). If you know anything about the Mayan systems of time keeping, you will know that their "Long Count" calendar (which was used to track long time periods, something like centuries and millenia in our notions) was repetitive... that means, it would eventually return to its starting point, unlike our calendars, which can go on counting time in increasing numbers seemingly forever. Mayan "Long Count" calendar had five digits for its marking: 13.0.0.0.0. This was the notation for the beginning and an end date. After that, the next day would be noted as 13.0.0.0.1, the day after as 13.0.0.0.2, and so on, until it would come back to 13.0.0.0.0. And the time span for one cycle of this to repeat would be a little more than five thousand years - multiply 144,000 by 13 and then divide by 365 = 5128.77 year (not (taking into account the leap years, of course). Hence, as you can see, for them the return of the calendar to its starting point would mark the end of one era, and the beginning of another era. And since Mayans were great astrologers, it is even believed (some theories suggest) that they could foretell that a great astronomic even (the alignment of the planes) would happen on Dec. 21st, 2012, and so they set the end date for one era in their "Long Count" calendar to correspond with this date and then calculated and set the start date in their calendar retroactively...

Overall, very interesting stuff to read about and research, in my opinion.

were the Mayans meant to be like those portrayed in Apocolypto?

Judgement Day is coming.....

Posted by Dr Satan on Nov-23-2007 04:15:

this is an interesting conspiracy because it sort of brings every mystery/conspiracy to man together (e.g. crop circles are signs by aliens of safe zones, illuminati).

interesting nothing more. I have a hard time taking it seriously when they say planet x is a battle station for a race of lizard people who created us.

my take on it is this... these guys say plaent x will be visible to the naked eye by 2009 just as the sun is - actually they are saying it is visible now in the south pole and some pictures supposedly taken by nasa are going around about this (i thnk their photoshopped).

Anyways if the world ends dec 21, 2011... and I see this planet in 2009.. then I'll start to prepare.

i don't know but the mayans also thought the spanish were gods because they wore metal.

also the whole annunaki twist to this story is ridiculous. so these lizard people who could create man, fly through space... can't extract resource of gold themselves?

nice.

at the same time, sun's lately (past 25 years) unusual activity will reach its peak in 2012 and by the end of that year solar flares or whatchamacallit will knock out all the satelites out of the orbit, temperature will raise at least 2 c etc etc.

so the question is, did they knew something that we still dont know ??? seeing as you know your mayan, you know that they knew about planet x really long time ago.

meh

here are some more videos on this for anyone that wants a good laugh...

there really isn't much scientific proof to the "facts" they present ... most of it is based off of pictures from teh babylon age that they are using to explain the fucked up orbit of some of the planets

2012 is too far away....I've had my fun.....bring on Doomsday now.

Those were not the Mayans!

The Mayan era ended a few centuries before Hernan Cortez's flotila landed on the shores of the New World... and the stories that I read say that the Aztecs had a belief that in ancient times, white men with a beard came and taught them many good things about agriculture and industry, and before they left, they promised that one day they will return again... so, when the Spanish arrived, the Aztecs thought that these were the gods living up to their promise.

The guy in the first video tells him his name is Joe and the doctor dude calls him Jim at the end haahahahah

Posted by Kamka on Nov-23-2007 20:21:

I watched a couple of the videos now and it seems that this is something different than I originally thought... 2012 is so often associated with the Mayan calendar that when I saw the title "Doomsday 2012" I just assumed it was related to them. But it's interesting nevertheless, it's just that I don't like the tone in which those videos are made - sort of like if they were spoonfeeding us simple facts because we are not able to comprehend more complex ones.
