Photos from South America
just got back from a years trip in south america, here are some of my pics...
Photos from Colombia
The Sunsets of Santa Marta
these photos i had to stand up to my ankles in storm water and sewage that had flooded the roads after torrential rain to get the best angle.

Parque Nacional Tayrona de Colombia (where the Andes meet the Carribean)

Ciudad Perdida - The Lost City, Colombia

San Augustin de Colombia

PERU
Lago Titicaca (available in all sizes here)

Macchu Picchu

ECUADOR
lived in Ecuador for six months with a host family who i feel are like my real family now. i feel half ecuadorian
this small little country is one of the most beautiful on earth...
El Altar

notice the guys on the right, words cannot explain how incredible this place is, the fog obscures the giant glaciers hanging off the jagged 5,500metre peaks to my left.

Mountain Climbing Ecuador

Military

Fiestas de Abril

Presidente Rafael Correa.

me and my ecuadorian brother would often ride horses for two or three days straight through the Chimborazo highlands up to 4500metres, these landscapes look like the moon, once one of our horses nearly died from altitude sickness. we had to cut into its neck and tongue to make it bleed to thin its blood, fortunately this saved it.

argentina and chile...
Iguasu Falls de Argentina

Perito Moreno

Ushuaia

Pasa de Oveja, trek in Tierra del Fuego

The wind was so strong in the mountain pass that we would have to sit down for five or so minutes to wait for it to pass then walk for five minutes, then sit down again for five minutes as it hit us again...

my piece of shit tent that i carried all over south america, my friends called it "La Tomba" The Coffin. This pictures was taken at midnight, shows how much light there is that far down south...

Those are amazing pics. Must have been even cooler experiencing all that in person.
Woooooow, these pics are amazing! I would love to have gone on that trip!
Amazing pictures, I can see why South America is very popular at the moment.
I didn't realise they had such spectacular buildings such as that white church/cathedral/chapel that you shot. Awe inspiring.
Did anyone else notice in the photo of the soldiers wearing the camo-paint, the guy with the scope on the rifle? The scope is massive, must be some rifle for picking people off from 5ks away or something?
geeze some really unbelievable pics there Jake! Was great to see you last night as well. Looking forward to next Sunday@Sounds!
