I saw this on Digg:

Ridiculously easy way to grab the release candidate for XP Service Pack 3 (it makes you look like a beta tester).
The file is rather small (50 megs), although it takes quite a long time to install and requires some monitoring ('click yes to proceed').
It is the 32-bit version, so those with 64 bit, you're outta luck i supppose

also, .Net Framework 3.5 has been released recently (in case you want to be on top of that too)

From what I hear the XP SP3 will have a 10% speed boost now.

Sadly for Vista users the SP1 will have reported fraction of a percent increases....
