Holy crap, I'd heard he got shot yesterday but didn't realize it was that critical. He was a hell of a football player too, and just reaching his prime. Real shame.

And if you don't take it serious enough, eventually one day you're going to say, 'Oh, I could have done this, I could have done that.' "So I just say, 'I'm healthy right now, I'm going into my fourth year, and why not do the best that I can?' And that's whatever it is, whether it's eating right or training myself right, whether it's studying harder, whatever I can do to better myself." His hard work was well-noted. "He loved football. He felt like that's what he was made to do," Redskins coach Joe Gibbs said. "And I think what I've noticed over the last year and a half ... is he matured. I think his baby had a huge impact on him. There was a real growing up in his life." |
Sad to hear he passed away but it's not like he didn't live a life that had that coming. Drunk driving... aggravated assault... plus others. Shot to the groin is usually a sign that the assault was personal not just a random robbery/shooting. Piss people off and you can expect something coming right back at ya.

This just one of those cases where you can never really take the '"hood" out of someone. Like don't get me wrong I'm not trying to be disrespectful, I've followed Seans football career since highschool. He attended a private south florida school, even then he was known to be rolling around with some sketchy ass characters. And rolling around in a Caddy on 22's as a senior 
there is always jealousy, same case with Baratka Atkins (UM player shot a year ago) people are going to hate and try to take and hurt what they have earned.
