Simple Math?

To be honest... it took me two tries.

FACTS:

There is a train with only 7 children inside
Each child has 7 bags
In each bag there are 7 large dogs
Every large dog has 7 puppies
Everything listed above is entirely in the train
All objects are unique
There is no train engineer
Every child has 2 legs
Every dog/puppy has 4 legs

QUESTION:

How many legs are in the train?

+1.

There are 3 + (lol + 1) legs in the train

Posted by leph555 on Nov-29-2007 21:11:

is this a trick question?

edit:

7 kids x 7 bags = 49 bags

49 bags x 7 large dogs each = 343 large dogs

343 large dogs x 4 legs each = 1372 large dog legs

343 large dogs x 7 puppies = 2401 puppies

2401 puppies x 4 legs = 9604 puppy legs

7 kids x 2 legs = 14 kids legs

1372 large dog legs + 9604 puppy legs + 14 kids legs = 10990 legs.

better question is what the hell are children doing with dogs and their puppies in bags?

Posted by _Nut_ on Nov-29-2007 21:13:

No tricks.

Simple math. No gimmicks and Rob you are wrong.

They're obviously gypsy children.

1582?

And as I wrote in my email to my coworkers:

I will say that my first guess was way off the mark. And I will be awaiting a message from someone stating that this could never physically happen. Get over it and think.

are some of these gypsies missing feet due to the war in Kosovo?

Posted by zoogla on Nov-29-2007 21:16:

*calculating*

1. 7 children x 2 legs = 14 legs
2. 7 children x 7 bags x 7 large dogs x 4 legs = 1372 legs
3. 7 children x 7 bags x 7 large dogs x 7 puppies x 4 legs = 9604 legs

TOTAL = 10,990 legs.

Final answer.

I would assume so. I mean, what are the dogs for, if not to ride like ponies?

Feet are not asked. Legs.

Posted by spc on Nov-29-2007 21:18:

10,990

Posted by _Nut_ on Nov-29-2007 21:18:

Lira - no. That was my first guess.

Posted by Boomer187 on Nov-29-2007 21:20:

obviously its 10990

7 kids x 2 legs each
49 bags
343 big dogs x 4 legs each
2401 puppies x 4 legs each

Posted by UWM on Nov-29-2007 21:20:

It ends in a 0.

Edit - Welp so much for not giving the answer.
