Record Label Survey...

Hey guys,

Just wondering if you could give me a second of your time to do a quick survey for me. One of my classes at school is a business class and in that class we spend all year building and launching our own business. I have decided to start up a record label as my business. I'm at the stage where I have to do market research now so I have created this survey to help me out with that. If you have a minute it would be really appreciated if you could fill it out (its only about 10 questions). All your info will be kept confidential.

done but can i just add if your thinking of starting a label make sure you don't go digital only. theres too many flooding the market and are a waste of time.

The plan to start with is Digital with a small supply of CD's for each release as well (about 100 - 200 per release) and hopefully expand that in the future.

Give me a shout if you have some other questions.
Been signed to a few (Just recently left one under bad terms).
And have started my own as well as still signing music to other labels.

There are a lot of pitfalls out there.

One of the major ones that you didn't count on your survey is the relationship between the label and the artists themselves. Very important indeed especially at this level.
