i'm probably heading out
See you guys there
damn rich i cant make this one but next boris i will def make. I will be in miami the weekend of the richie hawtin party im down to go to that u going?
I think i have plans that weekend, friend is graduating uni and i'm sure Hawtin is not anywhere in his plans.
Fucking destruction.
Got there @ 5 AM left @ 1:45 PM when Boris finished.
I'll get my buddy to ID some more, but.... Spastik remix, 4 Dubfire tracks, Pryda - Armed, a lot of new york classics.
Terrace was pretty empty. Didn't draw nearly the crowd of a Saturday night. Either way, A+ set from Boris.
it was rather empty.
I thought he did pretty good.
I could tell he wanted to drop more minimal tech but the crowd would thin out when he would start playing some dark shit so he had to drop a few house & electro bombs to get it going again. Either way, good time.
Fish Go Deep & Tracey K - The Cure And The Cause (The Cube Guys Dub)
Meat Katie & D. Ramirez - Stop The Revolution (Dubfires Arrowhead Dub Extended Mix)
I can't remember much else
I am a Boris fan, had seen him 3 times b4 and thought he was great each time
But the 3+ hours I was there last night he was not very good IMHO
Which 3 hours?
I was there from 7-11 roughly and it never really flowed. he played some nice tracks but he would jump around alot. I've heard Ivano spin better.
but not bad
Yeah the flow was a bit off w/ the random placement of deeper minimal stuff.
IMO lots of gems throughout the night. I think he will make a great resident once he figures out his sound on the terrace a bit better.

Wow, I went w/ 2 NYC guys who see him every weekend and they thought he did great.
Honestly, I think his sound would work better in the main room.

Dont get me wrong he had some crazy sets over at noc terrace, I didnt catch the space one, but yes he is a mairoom DJ, he plays alot of Dark Beats!!! Till the 29th wehn he rocks the Mainroom. And Mel yes he is a Monthly resident!!! |
That is going to be the party of the year, Boris and Lawler... wow.
Sadly, I will be 2000 miles away.
