How to record a WHOLE song on ableton

Hi Im using ableton 6 since this summer.

Right now I got the problem that I can make a final recordind of the whole song. (so incl. all midi & wave files)
I did read THE MANUAL, but still I could not get it.

In the past (with Cubase) I have always recorded the whole song, while the song was playing from the first beat right to the really last beat. (so from the first second up to the last second - like many other people do)

I want to record my tracks, as I improvise with specific effects while the whole peace is playing. (I do not just want to save them as mp3 or wav.)

Now I don't get how to record all the stuff on ableton. Do not want to use other programs ;-)

Right now I got a project with 8 different audio and midi lines and I want to record it, that I receive one wav. file in the end which is my whole song.

I hope that somebody will understand me as some people in the past weeks were not able to help me.

I did read the manual..

thank you

arrange your parts into clips
press the record button
launch the clips as you want them
render the final sequence

it sounds to me like you certainly did not read the manual.

if for some reason the advice above doesnt work because you cant understand it, look for videos on youtube, there are plenty of vids there explaining what you require

Well I guess it is the option on the right which are making trouble...
Right now I hear a nothing on the recorded file....

Thanks for any advice...

I did read the manual and I went through youtube, but could not find a video helping me with this problem...

It is not possible for me to call the ableton service, which is only available from 11am to 3pm....

you have to highlight a time region to render. if the whole song hit Ctrl + A

edit: and looking at live in a different language is spell bounding.

Are you just trying to get it all to one track without rendering it?

If so, just create an audio track, change the input to "Master," then press record on that new track and up at the top and press play.

Track 19 below is set up that way, so I'd just hit record on that track and at the top, play - and it will record everything to that one track. Sorry if that's not what you're asking.

Yup! drag the selector around the part you want to render, click on it once so it turns black. File > Render!
