This is quality, really nice and chilled. Slightly more scarfy (i.e. minimal & bleepy) than I'd normally listen to, but still really enjoyed it. Perfect for a slow Sunday afternoon while doing bits of coursework and lazy online Christmas shopping

Nice one, thanks for the feedback boss. You hit the nail right on the head; I made it with early Friday / Saturday / Sunday morning after the club sort of mix. When everyone is sitting around winding up or down and just hanging out. Most of my sets are more in the deeper direction but when I play live it is usually picked up a few notches depending on the situation. Thanks once again for taking a listen and dropping some feedback.

Well I just finished listening to this for the third time in as many days, and I guess my opinion on it has probably changed pretty dramatically since the first run through. On my first listen, there were definitely sections where I just felt like it got too busy and maybe I lost the idea you were going for, but the more I listen to it, the more I see how well all the tracks that are very much "in the mix" work together.

While it may be true that this isn't technically your most precise effort, there is absolutely no point in the mix where the minor glitches mess with the flow of the set - and the way you worked "Equestrian Muppet Idol" in was just outstanding. I'm loving that track but having a hard time playing it myself because of the key change in the intro, it's nice to hear it work so well.

That being said, my favorite part of the set is definitely the end - from EMI through the end is outstanding, but I especially like the way you worked the Nathan Fake tune in. I did enjoy the Stickroth stuff towards the beginning, but for the most part this one really seems to come alive at the end.

Well done bro

Thanks for the review Rob. Yeah I need to make a set for everyone that consists of material in the last 30 minutes but a whole cd. The first half is more for home listening, after party stuff and the last part is more of the club stuff I would lay down depending on the night.

As far as the technical side of things I wanted to make sure I recorded it live and not on Ableton. Just like my last three promos were recorded live so is this one. When using a looper, fitting 19 tracks on a cd and layering at least three tracks on top of each other at some points I found it virtually impossible to make it perfect.

Thanks for taking the time to check it out and posting a review duder. I have a feeling a new mix will be coming out sooner then I usually do to showcase the more upbeat stuff I do.

this is a very well thought out set man, perfect to have in the background while doing something. There are some very good tracks on here, but you almost lost me at hearthrob. I just felt like it came out of nowhere and didnt click for me. Other than that i recommend this, doubly so for anyone cramming during finals.

Will check this one out

Definitely be having a few more listens to this.

Thanks for taking a listen and also posting down a review. I am really glad you could enjoy it and also that you noticed how much time and effort I put into edits and sequencing my sets. Even when I play live everything is done for a reason and it well thought out.

I have never been one to just throw tracks together and its always nice when someone can appreciate that. Youre the first person who has mentioned the heartthrob issue, I never seemed to notice it but no I can see how it may throw some people off a bit.

Nice, thanks for the feedback!

I wouldn't say it was a major issue, just a case of personal preference shinning through. I don't ever always like everything I do in my own sets either lol. Either way, this one gets you a listen on the next one so its a win

which is where ?

As others have said the first half an hour is very hard to get into and will make many people switch off before it livens up a bit. For me personally the more laidback stuff needs to have a hook still , something you can grab a hold of to take you through the track whether it be a bassline or melody etc. The first half an hour was pretty well hookless IMO and not at all what I would choose to listen to again.

Once the hooks start arriving though it is a very good set and the last half was good stuff. No big name tunes which is an excellent bonus for me and really quiet different to what others here offer up.

Keep being different man and maybe next time give me some more meat in the early section to create interest.

I have never been one to need a hook in a song to keep my interest. I have always love listeting to the detail of the track, the purcusion, the kicks and such. I understand what your saying though and thanks for the feedback and taking a listen!
