This has been known for a while. Various studies have tried to contradict it, but overall it seems pretty spot on.

I know this but its great to see it come from a source that is more widely accepted among the public as it appears to have more legitimacy Here's another wonderful article about a follow-up study that was based on a study in 1974 that shows it kills cancer cells!! Interesting if you care to read

I think I've read that before too. Also, weed helps your lungs get rid of mucus and phlegm, which reduces particulate build-up...pretty cool.

I used to smoke cigarettes and had horrible lung capacity and breathing, same with smoking hookah a lot. I smoke week almost daily now and I feel fine.

lies!

the history channel is running an hour program on the history of marijuana... i saw it a few days ago back-to-back with the one on lsd/mdma, there's some incredibly funny shit in there. especially all the government propaganda films

"light the match, inhale the smoke... and it becomes an invitation to your own murder!"

so basically the show talks about how weed was banned by the south in order to push mexican laborers out of the country during the depression. william randolph hearst, the rupert murdoch of the time, spread the deceit around the country by showing clips of hollywood movies where actors smoke and act high. at the end of the 60s, nixon pushed prohibition of weed and lsd even harder to punish hippies for protesting his war policies. after the controlled substances act was passed in 1970, it no longer takes an act of congress to ban a drug like it had been before, it merely needs to be categorized by someone in the dea as 'schedule 1' to be banned from all recreational, medical and research purposes indefinitely.

From any angle you look at it, the prohibition of MJ is a tragedy...

Weird orgies, wild parties, and unleashed passions? What kind of weed are they smoking?! Anytime I smoke weed I just end up eating a jumbo bag of peanut butter M&Ms and getting stuck on the last level of Gears of War

There was no Gears of War or Xbox, so they had wild orgies.

Thanks for posting this. I read it a while ago and had forgotten where I found it or how the experiment was actually carried out.

someday I am going to write a book about how weed made me a better engineer. Legalize weed, shrooms, and acid for the good of math, science, and engineering!
