PF#37 - 6th Birthday & Old Skool Retrospective - Gwill Morris (UK) - December 25th

Since the needle dropped at Private Function for the first time back in 2001, there have been lots of big nights & even bigger tunes. As we once again come together on Christmas night for another Private Function Birthday & Christmas Extravaganza, this year we'll be looking back - way back, to where it all began, and we've invited a guest from christmas past to help us remember.
To those who were at White Substance back at the Portland Hotel back in 2002, Gwill Morris needs no introduction. In fact, if you weren't there that night he probably doesn't need much of an introduction anywayhis releases on Silver Planet as Main Element, as Future Sound Collective, or under his Ogenki Clinic guise with James Holden, made him one of the pioneers of progressive sounds at the turn of the century. On Christmas Night, Tuesday December 25th, Private Function turns six (who would have thought?), and we'll be celebrating by looking back with a 'progressive retrospective' for the first time.
Joining Gwill will be PF's usual suspects in Gavin Martin, Dean Millson & Aaron Roach, along with our good friends from Darkbeat, Rollin Connection. All will be digging deep in those crates to bring you a night of classic old-skool progressive sounds in true Private Function style.
The invitation to our first party, back in the side room at Salt, on a rainy thursday between Christmas and New Year in 2001 went something like this...
The concept's quite a simple one. Once a month, get one of Melbourne's premiere venues. Fill it with great music. Tell all of your friends to come along, get them to tell all of their friends to come along - and you've got the ingredients for an awesome night.
While the once a month part may have changed, the rest has stayed constant really and we hope that you (and your friends) come and join us once again for our annual Christmas night celebration.
Progressive is dead...
yeah, right.
(see you on the dancefloor...)
