where to find import beers
ok when I was in Italy they had a beer called Ceres strong ale and they made another one called Eric the red. I can't find this beer anywhere here in the states or any place online. Does anyone here know of a place that I can order this beer from?
Your local liquor store?
nope they don't carry it and even the specialty shop never heard of it.
central market
world market/cost plus
it may not be available for export.
doubt you'll ever get a hold of it here. americans dont know good beer.
edit: says the guy currently drinking a 16oz can of miller high life.
It's pretty hard to find good beer in US. Luckily here in Cleveland there's a liquor store that has a lot of specialty beers from different countries. They even have Trappist
. It's like $6/bottle but well worth it.
hummmm. Guess I will have to just ship some home next time I'm in italy.
BTW you might want to try
beeradvocate.com
If it's a rare beer they'll often have a section that tells you of liquor stores that carry that specific beer.
see if any of your local pubs have it. they may at least give you an idea on where you can pick it up locally.
if you're in australia, i found this site where you can buy imported beers online:
http://www.beerstore.com.au/
(that site made me lol, when they were charging like $3 for a single of miller and budweiser
)
