Best Producers of 2007

Who really impressed you with amazing tunes this year......besides Deadmau5, lol. Pick 5 or more in your favorite genre, feel free to post any observations or comments on a particular producer or the dance music scene in general too

In this order I pick

1. Lange : Maybe Tomorrow, Songless remix, and Angels Falls remix etc.

2. Shawn Mitiska, Mat Cerf, and Jaren : good vocal tracks like Light the skies, Saved Again, Silently etc.

3. Kyau & Albert

4. Maor Levi

5. Aly & Fila : They produced and remixed a lot this year, everything they released is either decent or good

6. Super8 & DJ Tab - most of their work this year was great such as Need to Feel, and the remix of Off the World(love that song!) etc.

7. Paul Van Dyk : White Lies and Haunted are the best out of his album

Aly and Fila needs to vary their sound. Every tune they've made sounds similar.

Only trance producer IMO had consistently produced good stuff this year is Thomas Bronzwaer. (Constellation, Resound)

Chuck Love: His album 'bring enough to spill some' is awesome!

Posted by Chris Allen on Dec-05-2007 05:47:

Shawn Mitiska is on fire lately. Be it with his Cerf/Mitiska/Jaren, his own sound, his remixes, or his collabs, everything he's been putting out has been pure quality.

Topher Jones is very consistent this year as well. Building and growing his style and his different genre's he's producing in while keeping his own style. One to watch for sure.

Jerome Isma-Ae really impressed me over the past year. Massive quality and Jee Productions is flying.

The Timewriter: IMO his album Soulstickers kicks ass and he made a terrible A+B - Home into an awesome deep proggy house

Deadmau5 ---> what CAN you say about 'em that hasn't been said?? Amazing

Eric Prydz ---> rarely produces a bad track imo...2007 was no exception

Dubfire ---> we all know as the "blew us away outta nowhere" producer. Pure fire

The Timewriter ---> never rly got into 'em til '06, but the new album is fucking ACE

That's quite an honour. I didn't know he was that highly respected by the pros too.

And I would say some of the productions by the Intuition Crew have been outstanding this year.
