Like the Grammies were respected before this?

I say fair play to the guy. I dont post much on these boards but i read alot, and tiesto always gets slated. Ive seen him live various times and alot of djs aswell, but tiesto has never dissapointed me as unlike armin or ferry. maybe im slightly biast because his in my memory album got me into edm. I just dont think he deserves all the criticisim he gets. Once upon a time he was a bedroom dj like most of us, and he made his name a franchise from nothing. He didnt ask to be put up for this award im sure, and if an unknown on this forum could swap places musically they without a doubt would. It must be a matter of jealousy im sure, because at the end of the day its his job and hes the most successful highest paid dj in the world. Despite what people on this forum think. i agree he's gone downhill, but he has already made his name. Obviously people still like what hes putting out even if its not to our tastes because of his nominations for this sort of shit. Jst thought id post for once lmao

yup

Who the shit makes the decisions?

Justice? That album is a huge piece of flaming dog shit compared to loads of other music that has come out before and after it. Forgettable and the majority of that album sounds annoying as shit.

EOL doesn't really even deserve to be written about, listened to, spoken of and it sure as hell does not deserve a Grammy.

Chemical Brothers album was also a huge piece of flaming dog shit that doesn't deserve remotely the amount of attention it has received.

IMO.

Posted by noikeee on Dec-07-2007 00:34:

it's a conspiracy to make electronic music look like shit to the mainstream.

Yeah because Justice is soooo much more innovative than Tiesto.

The only worthy nominee of anything was Carl Craig and his remix of "Like a Child"

nice, good for him

I rarely wish death upon anyone, but whoever is responsible for that deserves to be shot.
