Wow was Vanguard packed. Drove up and the line was huge. Got in at 10:00 and the main and back rooms were already completely full and everyone was just going crazy. The crowd for the most part sucked though. I've never scene so many couples fighting and so many hardasses trying to start shit I guess thats the crowd Benassi attracts. Benassi, on the other hand, was unreal. So many great tracks. Whoever opened was banging it out pretty hard to. I was suprised.

Thumbs down

Do they still have Hip-Hop there on Saturdays? That could explain the fighting couples and hardasses.

yes!

So is this club set up to be a multiple music genre venue?

I know over hear we tend to keep things seperate and the trouble only happens are the hip hop clubs.

I mean you get the petty stuff a few fights elsewhere but the shootings and other unmentionables happen at the same places.

most likely a bunch of tracks from the beatport top 10. i think that's sort of his 'style'. he also probably played his remix of 'bring the noise'...my what a terrible track

Very simple explanation for that, but rather not say on a forum...

I had a great time, but I honestly don't remember hearing any of his own songs. Did i miss out or did he just not play them?

I really wouldn't point the finger on the hip hop people all the time.

A lot of people who like Benassi are regular clubbers who aren't in the scene but enjoy his music.

I know tons of "BRO HOS" (aka Club Rubber crowd) that love his music and those people love to scrap.

What's scrap? Sounds nasty & dirty.

Some of the tracks I could ID were:
Super Skunk (Deadmau5 remix), Deadmau5 - Not Exactly, Finished Symphony (Deadmau5 remix), Beautiful (Michael Gray remix)
I didn't get to see the last hour and a half of his set. I wonder if he played lesser known tracks near the end. Also, I have never heard hip hop at Vanguard on Saturday nights although I didn't visit any but the main room last Saturday.
