Maor Levi - Shapes |w/ Oliver Smith Remix| |Anjunabeats|

This song just gave my trance listening a re-birth. Especially the Oliver Smith Remix. Nice feel to the whole thing but the vocals (whatever they are) really do it for me.

Kind of reminds me of David West's style. Nice driving basslines... mmmm.

high five!

I don't know why, but I absolutely LOATHE this track. It's that main hook that rattles my nerves. Just hate it.

1/10

I haven't heard it yet but AnjunaDeep is a much better label imo.

oliver smith remix is awesome, one of the better trance records of the year though the original sounds a little weak

well are you a trance listening man? I admit after being in my house/tech hole for about 2-3 years I was surprised to come back to something like this. it's definitely a big anthemy tune, there's absolutely nothing special as far as "something new and original" about it. but it utilizes the tools of the genre well. as mentioned the original is a bit on the weak end of the spectrum but the oliver smith remix really restructures the whole thing well and puts out a good product. i can't imagine myself playing something like this, but i would love to hear someone like Above & Beyond drop it at a nice big club setting.

Yes.
Don;t know what it is about this one though. That hook just sounds terrible

personally i feel it adds a nice layer to the whole thing. but i could see how is could be annoying.

same thing happened to me with Santiago Nino - Believe (Max Graham Remix).

i don't understand what all the hype is...it's slightly above average at best

Posted by Mr.Mystery on Dec-11-2007 22:28:

I was pretty disappointed by this one. Maori's tracks are usually quality but this just seemed pretty half-assed and generic. The remix doesn't really do anything either, it's more or less the same.

Posted by Stino on Dec-12-2007 01:44:

if you call the hookline garbage you have just no feeling for melody at all, nothing....

you can call it average, or just above, which i can understand but the melody is just really good....

Posted by oldblue1224 on Dec-12-2007 01:51:

maori is just an alias of maor levi with a harder sound, so that might be why his regular productions are more 'soft'

I am allowed to have my own opinion.
Please shut the fuck up with your persistent, unnecessary sucking up to fellow trance producers.

Being a Smith & Pledger fan, I'm really digging the Oliver Smith treatment here.

Totally interesting u feel this way...

Def like this as its a peak time euphoric track

Wasn't really feeling the main melody of this one, even though I've liked Illumina, Reflect, and the Daniel Kandi remix of Lital a whole lot.

Posted by SMC on Dec-12-2007 19:56:

I like the original, the remix is superfluous.
