I Am Legend, Juno, and The Mist

saw it today and thought it was lame

great special effects and had a good plot, but many questions left at the end and throughout...

very disappointed...

saw a free screening of Juno on Wednesday and was also disappointed... very blah and the ending was very expected and just OK...

The Mist - Without question one of the better movies I've seen in a long while.. Yes its a horror flick but its not about that... its so much more about the characters in teh grocery store and how they interact with each other... by the end of the movie you think that the humans are worse than the monsters that will kill you... highly recommend

Loved I Am Legend, throughout.

Came in with very low expectations. Got a favorite on my hands.

We're seeing the free screening of Juno on Thursday - bummed to hear you didn't like it, still holding out some hope though.

As I mentioned to Clovis before - that's actually from a legitimate conversation her and I had about children.

I'm a lucky guy.

I actually paused the conversation to update my sig.

I don't know what I would do if I heard someone say that out loud. When you're online and just messing around, that's one thing, but to throw that into a semi-serious conversation... wow. Your fiance is made of win.

I just hope I never take it for granted.

My brother just got back from seeing I Am Legend and said it was good. I, however, have no real desire to see it.

Grad school has me so far behind on movies. There have actually been a few that I've wanted to see too. No Country for Old Men is playing literally across the street from my apartment and I still haven't been. I Am Legend, The Mist, and Golden Compass look somewhat interesting (though the bad reviews for the latter have me less than enthused). I'm supposed to take the 'ole girl to Enchanted this week but don't know if I will have time, and I got advance screening tickets for Charlie Wilson's War as well, but I'm going out of town that morning so won't make it.

I used to keep up with movies quite well, but now I feel guilty any time I close Microsoft Word and step away from my computer.

Jesus, watching The Mist tonight was a bad life choice. Great movie, deep and meaningful, but I freaking HATE insects.

edit: but I freaking LOVED the use of Dead Can Dance - Host of the Seraphim. tune.

That was likely my least favourite part of the movie. Having seen Baraka, it just seemed overemotional and meaningless.

I love Baraka

You're right that something about it doesn't fit, but I just love the track. I'm still kind of stunned about the ending, but now that I'm going to bed I'm sure all I'm going to be thinking about are the bugs... shit.

from heart attacks to bawling my eyes out.

i got more tearied eyed for The Mist than I am Legend.... and about being deep and meaningful... wow.. i've thougth more about The Mist after it was over than almost any movie i've ever seen,... The Six Sense yes, but only b/c I wanted to see it again to see it in the different aspect... The Mist though wasnt to resee anything but more b/c of the topic and way it was presented...

ya.. my gf was pouring tears too...

The Mist to me seemed way more real and plausible,... they are both way out there and far fetched, but the way the miltary is so sneaky and how that idea is just so fresh makes me think its more believeable...

In I am Legend, I realize they aren't Vampires but they share too many of the characteristics and their disease doesnt seem that original... ala zombies or vampires or just a mix of the two..
