How many cents? Lateral thinking question - ANSWER ON PAGE 3

Try and solve this question. How many cents are in the box?

(yes its from one of those retarded phone-in tv quiz shows, and yes I know they're a massive scam, no I didn't ring in, no I didn't watch it, I randomly flicked over while I was watching predator on another channel, I did however record it so i could find out the correct answer).

I'm just curious as to whether anyone can actually get the right answer.

My guess was 529

Post your solutions, if anyone gets the right answer I'll ask you to explain how you got it.

then I added the 3 words "cents" to get 529 (I considered the c from 55c to be cent)

btw 529 isn't right either

Therefore, there is 5 DOLLARS, and 26 cents.

So, ok... we have 26 cents.

Then there is:

- the word "cents" in the question = 1
- the "c" to indicate cents = 1
- the word "cents" after 129 = 1
- the word "cents" after ninety three = 1
