Underworld - Driving Through The B-Sides (Vol 2)

I found this today in a dinky little record shop on the second floor of an old Victorian arcade. It sounded rare and it apparently is- I get a grand total of two Google results for it.

It has no release date and the cat. number "WWI 75". It was apparently released by "On the radio broadcasting" and the disc has "Westwood One Radio Networks" printed on it. There's also the title "Rarities on Compact Disc" emblazoned on it in a few places.

I'm assuming it's an unofficial release, but I'm wondering if it has any value. Some of the tracks appear unreleased ("Mosaic- Early version non-LP track") and some are just mixes I've never heard of ("Born Slippy - Dark Train Banstyle").

Any clues?

Yeah, definately no Discog for it... You should post it up on there.

I have no idea about value of it. But I'm sure since it's a rarity and has an unknown mix of Born Slippy it would probably be worth something...

How is it BTW? Did you just pick it up for the rarity of it, or is it actually a pretty decent record to boot?

That's just the titles of three tracks. Born Slippy, Dark Train and Banstyle (better known as Banstyle/Sappy's Curry). My money is that it's not a legitimate release. I'll try and do some digging when I get home from work.

True. I had my mom pick up a ton of bootleg CDs while she was in Hong Kong and India. They look totally legit in terms of CD case and artwork, but they're really just radio sets or random tracks thrown together and sold by shady record stores

The Born Slippy mix just turned out to be a 10.23 length version of Dark & Long (Dark Train).

The whole thing isn't up to much, really. Couple of interesting tracks in there, but aside from the Dirty mix of Dirty Epic and Dark Train (which I already own) they aren't the obscure gems you expect Underworld B-sides to be. The only ones that have any genuine rare appeal are the demo tracks, and I'm now fairly sure it's just an unofficial release. Waste of money, really.
