HappyHappy Best hills in Toronto?

So my buddy and I may try and have a sledding comp, to see who can build the fastest sled.

I've only been in TO for two years now, but never headed out on the 'slopes'. Any good tips for parks, or hills that are easily accessable through public transit?

i have a nice slope in my back yard and every year me and my little bro build a huge kicker, and I mean HUGE. Those GT racers are so much fun to catch air on.

Do you think the Hill might have gotten up and wandered somewhere else in the past few years?

The best one is in East York. You can see the hill from the Don Valley Parkway. I belive you get to it from Brodview... Near Brodview and Danforth going south on Brodview...

Earl Bales Park.

edit: Definitely the biggest 'hill' in the city.

Most beautiful view in the city is from Riverdale Park running west along Broadview just south of the Danforth

Sorry I could not find any winter pics
Have fun!

i juss got back from my hill of choice in mississauga.....
were down a man....
and frost bite is setting in on my left hand due to losing a glove.... i had 2 options grab the glove or the bottle of Absolute.....i think i made the right choice......and its 4:20am....only one thing left to due.....

There's an awsome hill at old sheppard and twyn rivers out east. The road to get to the hill has to be plowed otherwise there is not way a regulcar car would make it. And you can only get accross to get to the tobagging side if the river is frozen.

Posted by m2j on Dec-17-2007 03:57:

there's a pretty good hill i used to go to back when i was a kid, close to fairview mall.

Havenbrook Park. HUGE hill... broke quiet a few sleds on that hill jumping ramps... good times, lol

**Note: it's a bit further down the street than shown below... stupid google maps is messing it up.
