Paul Van Dyk - Take Me Higher

i'm really diggin his new productions. this new one is the track he starts playing at around 49:00 of the recent MAYDAY set. I love how he samples in the "take me higher" vocals with those old school house influences and his typical high energy stlye. The buildup and those whirling sounds reminds me of Josh Wink - Higher State of Conciousness..absolutely sick!

I agree! I wouldn't exactly classify this song as 'trance'....hmm, maybe PvD should have his own genre of music?

But when I first heard him drop it in his Mayday set....just gave me a grin, and made my hyper lol.

yeah i liked that song quite a bit..

on a second note, I really think that PvD has the skill to play aroudn with genres a lot. Listening to the rest of the Mayday, there was a lot of techno etc. and I felt like his set fit in nicely..

btw....Armin does that too....his set in the O last december...YUMMY! he even spun Electric Deluxe! Techno, prog and trance go very well in a long set

I bet this is really just gonna be as shit as everything else he's made lately he should be banned from a studio, his productions have no real power except for that of the fans who bott him no matter how much crap he produces. Lets hope this tune is startlingly different from all his recent shite
