Can anyone recommend a good, free WAV to MP3 converter?

I use Mpeg Suite. It has a couple of built in encoders to choose from (including LAME).

I use LameDropXPd, but yeah, anything that uses Lame is good, as long as you're using the Lame encoder then everything else is just a different GUI...
