How do you store your CD's ??

I've been facing a problem of storing my cd's.
I have alot of cd's (and will have more) (mostly back-ups),
and i don't know where to store them...should i put each individual cd in a case, and place them in a cd box, resulting in LOTs of cd boxes...
or should i have a couple CD binders where i can store lost of cd's without their protective cover..

So , i want to know what you think is the best way to store cd's,
or how You store your cd's....

I just buy a BUNCH of DURABLE CD Jewel Cases (like the ones that come with albums) and put each disc in each case, then put it all in a "CD storage case that's made to fit CD-cases... THAT'S ALL... I like to preserve my CD collection so, this is the best way.

CD cases- it's much better then individual covers as it takes MUCH less storing space and makes it easier to find your wanted disc

I just use cd's in normal cases and cd-towers, if i run out of space on the tower ill just go get another one!

lol - i have over 300 cd's. thats a bloody lot of cd stacks!!
i preffer to have them in caselogic storage cases, you can get one's that fit 100 cd! 2 or 3 are enough for most people!

LOL - i bet you have like an average of 30 scratches per cd
btw - it is worse scratching the top of a cd than the bottom as the written data is just below the surface!

i have about 250 cd's. i really want a wall display that shows the cd covers. wozza and yevat have these but ive never been able 2 find 1. currentl i just stack them all in the cases across my long window ledge..but room is getting less

Don't EVER store ur cd's in those plastic-sleeve carrycase things - the ones where its just a bunch of plastic sleeves in a plastic case.

They scratch ur cds BAD ..

look at this. i have 1500 cds in this picture. and i have a lot more!!!

Posted by wozza on May-02-2002 16:23:

my storage is a plastic thing that sticks onto the wall where u slot the cds in, so it shows the CD at the same time as storage

yes, some do, but i have found case logic to provide very good protection. they don't get scratched at all!

Pretty cool....
I don't think i can store 4 cd-storage cases, that takes up too much space...
I think i'll keep the really important cd's in their cases, but all others in a case-logic folder or something like that..

i'll give a bit more thought before i buy anything....

i just throw them on the floor

I have 2 of those huge ass binders that carry 175 cd's in them. I have one case for hiphop & reagge and another one for techno & rock.

As soon as I get a new cd I burn a copy of it and put the original in it's case and putit on my rack on the wall. The burnt copy goes in the carry cases That way if the copy in my car gets scratched I can just burn me another copy!

thanks... anyway, i live in argentina and "thanks" to the devaluation of the local money, all cds costs were multiply by 3 the last 4 months(and equipments, and vinyls, and so on).
So, people, until the costs go down...
