The 5-Point Exploding Heart Technique

Let us explore the validity of the 5 Point Exploding Heart Technique, brought to light by the film Kill Bill Vol 2.
quote:
The Bride: And what, pray tell, is the five-point-palm-exploding-heart technique?
Bill: Quite simply, the deadliest blow in all of martial arts. He hits you with his fingertips at five different pressure points on your body. And then he lets you walk away. But after you've taken five steps, your heart explodes inside your body, and you fall to the floor, dead.

What? No way!
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dim_Mak
quote:
more famously known as the Death Touch, is an attack on pressure points and meridians in some styles of Chinese martial arts used which is said to incapacitate or sometimes cause a delayed or even sudden death to an opponent.

Bullshit, what does a blogging doctor have to say?
http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/questio...2AAOxUqW&show=7
quote:
to get you heart to explode, you'd need to pump too much blood into it... problem is, your heart is the pump. you'd probably need two hearts (one to make the other explode). you could probably stop the blood flow somewhere in you body (like an insane blood clot) and force your heart to keep pumping. But (assuming the heart valves dont break down under pressure and start letting blood back the wrong way) you'd probably die from bleeding of the brain or lungs instead. that's because blood goes from body to heart to lungs to heart second time to head then to body again.

I'm still calling bullshit. I want Proof.....

Yeah, I really like the "Stand there and grunt for 3 episodes" move.

Back in high school, my friends were crazy for DBZ on cartoon network and I swear for 2 weeks straight, Vegeta and some other guy were about to fight on a planet that supposed to 'explode in 5 minutes'

i saw that. i think it was on spike, but i've never seen another episode of it. but the guy never showed how it was done or anything, just, 'well yea it works'.

i remember when i was a kid i used to watch batman the cartoon. there was an episode where the guy tried to do it to batman, but instead batman tossed his ass in a volcano. i like batman's punishment scale:

try to rob a bank => get your ass beat and tied up hanging from the ceiling
try find out batman's identity => you lose your memory
try to kill batman => magma bath

You ever watch Fight Science on National Geographic?

The Ninja demonstrates the death touch. Had as much force as a car moving 40mph i believe, and it looked like a 13 year old touching himself.

Nah, this kid is the one who needs more McDonald's:

He's like a Mini-Michelin-Man

Edit: He also appears to have an early grasp on the "Hey, pass me another fucking burger" point.

It makes me wonder about the parents. Do they ever stop and think to themselves, "Hey, my kid is getting really fucking fat. That might not be the best thing for his health or his future. Maybe I ought not pass him that third cheeseburger."

I imagine the parents to simply be a massive version of that little (lol) guy.

My parents always tried to force me to eat past the point when I didn't feel like eating anymore.

I think parents think its much better to "eat everything off that plate" than to waste food I guess. It just teaches kids to eat past the point where their body signals its full.

dim mak is 99% pure bullshit.

according to the NatGeo guys, yeah, the 'ninja' (and i use the term as loosely as possible, as the discussion on ninjitsu not existing is quite a different one) did one, but it's a super calculated move which would be impossible to pull off in a real fight under pressure with a fully resistant opponent, unless you fight epileptics with cerebral palsy whilst they're having a seizure.

t3h r34l d43f t0uch?

look for Floyd Mayweather vs. Ricky Hatton.

death touch, right at the end of the fight.
